Chapter 20 - First Life! Death Atlast

[Warning: The chapter contains scenes that might be triggering and traumatizing for some.]

"Maya, please don't die on me." Aisha cried, begging any god present in the world above to spare her maid's life. The only person who had cared for her but she failed to realise Maya's love for her. Her love is so pure that it asks nothing in return and doesn't fear death. Aisha's only family was dying in front of her eyes and she could do nothing in that desperate situation.

Maya smiled and placed her hand on Aisha's face, pulling a smile on her face. "Don't blame yourself, my little Miss. You have done nothing wrong. This is what I chose. "

" No! You shouldn't have given me food, you should have eaten it yourself. If you had, you wouldn't have been here and Father would have taken me out by tomorrow morning." Aisha cried and then realized that she was blaming Maya instead of herself. " No, it's my fault, I shouldn't have eaten. I'm so stupid."

" How could I? While my Miss goes hungry, how could I fill my stomach? Looking at you eat made me full too. It's not your fault."

" Why are you so kind? " Aisha asked remembering how badly she had treated Maya.

" Why are you so kind? " Maya returned the question to Aisha. To which Aisha and Maya both laughed for a second followed by a loud cry. Just then Maya coughed and emitted a lot of blood out of her mouth.

" You are dying Maya! Does it not hurt?" Aisha asked while her legs were getting pulled inside and her whole body was shivering not of the fear of getting sucked in but the thought that she might not be able to hold Maya for much long and that she might fail to get Maya out of there alive.

" Yes, it does but I don't want the spectators above us to enjoy our screams. " Hearing this Aisha finally realized her father was a cruel monster who found happiness in other's suffering.

" If only—" Maya's hand fell off Aisha's cheek, making Aisha take a sudden pause in her speech. A large amount of white foam along with blood came out of Maya's mouth. Her heart rate dropped and her body started to turn cold, her face, which was looking at Aisha lovingly fell, and her soft eyes remained open motionless.

Maya died but Aisha couldn't believe the disheartening truth. She called out to Maya a few times and finally after a few minutes when Maya didn't reply and her body had no warmth left in it, Aisha accepted the fact. She screeched in pain and regret at not being able to save her only loved one. What is there in this world to live for? Why was she treated like that and what was her fault? She always obeyed her father and yet received the death of her only beloved friend and family in return as a gift.

Dhanajay, after throwing Maya down, heard Aisha looking for her maid but didn't hear anything after that. Disappointed, he walked towards the two servants who immediately kneeled, when saw him approaching them, in fear.

"You two did well. I will give you both a good reward and a promotion. From now on you shall both tell me everything going on around Aisha. Is that possible?" Dhanajay said.

"Yes—yes, my lord." Both of them replied.

All of them were startled when a loud screech came out of the well the next moment, which made Dhanajay break into laughter and the two servants into regret.

Aisha didn't let go of Maya and decided to die with her beloved maid. She let herself get sucked into the well. Slowly half of her body was in and then a thought struck her mind. 'If only I had another chance, I would have agreed to marry Arun Raichand and would have saved Maya. I couldn't even apologize to her. I would never beat her up if that were possible. Please give me one more chance. Please.' and then her face disappeared under the snakes.

Aisha died!

But her wish was fulfilled, she woke back up under the ceiling of her bedroom, three weeks before the incident took place. Aisha was happy when she saw herself and Maya alive. To save Maya she had made up her mind to remain loyal to her father and repeat the same mistake. She of course agreed to the marriage knowing very well what had been waiting for her in that house if she were to get married there.
