The tall towering trees of the Visor Forests spread out for hundreds of meters, it's thick canopy preventing all forms of light from descending leaving an eerily darkness within it.
Ivan and the twins had already spent nearly a week within the forest only hunting and exploring as they made their way through.
Ivan choose to give them a week to think things through before he begun training them and thus he was just casually giving them life skills to survive in the forest.
" Never engage any Amphibian or reptile that is colorful, that are the most poisonous of the bunch, if you can't counter their poison you will die...If you ever lack water cut out the roots if a beer tree, they are the most common tree types and their roots store a starchy form if water that re-energizes "
"Hey Ivan, what Weapon do you use?" Kaleb asked, throughout the week never once had he seen Ivan draw a weapon, he would usually just wave his hand manipulating energies to deal with his targets.
"Mmhh me? there is no weapon I can't use, I'm a Grandmaster in all blades, a King in the Sword, Spear and Bow, " he replied to which Kaleb stared in a questioning gaze.
"Hey Ivan can you tell us the weapon mastery your familiar with?" Kamila asked.
"Hmm well It was Apprentice, Novice, Ace, Adept, Expert, Master, Grandmaster, Saint and finally King," he replied.
"I see I see, it's no wonder Kaleb's looking at you that," she smiled " The current weapon mastery we are aware of goes like this Beginner, intermidiary, Advanced, Expert, Mastered and Finally Grandmaster."
Ivan rubbed his chin before asking "What's the difference between the ranks?" he asked.
"Difference? isn't it all about mastering the blade and awakening your aura?" Kamila replied to which Ivan chuckled.
" Well yes and no," he begun "Yes in the sense that you are right, wrong in the sense that it's more than just that. There are four differentiations in weapon mastery apart from the usage of your weapon there is pressure, aura, intent and concept," he paused as he let his words sink in.
" There exists the Triad Trinity that exists in all weapon masteries, The first three which is called the Root deal with Pressure, The second three which is called the Stem deals with Aura and the final three called Peak deals with Intent." he explained while forming a barrier around them.
"The last form which is concept can only be grasped by those who have formed intent and mastered it, thus only accessible to Kings, so with that in mind what is the strongest Weapon master at?!" he asked.
" The strongest should be at mastered Sword Aura, I remember Marcus telling me about it a while back," Kaleb replied before adding " His name should be Grandmaster Zeron the Silent Blade."
"I see, so Grandmaster in your ranking is one who has mastered Aura, how redundant," Ivan chuckled "Your Silent blade is nothing more than a peak Swordsmaster nothing more," he stated he raised his hand.
"Watch carefully as I show you the three differentiations..."
He waved down as an invisible force that blasted the tree stamp away.
He waved down again as a silver energy shot forward slicing the tree in half.
He then waved down once more as a Misty grey energy shit forward cutting the tree into much smaller pieces.
" Pressure is all about force, Aura Is more attuned to sharpness while intent focuses on precision, but these are all just their natural characteristics without the diversity of a weapon users comprehension," he explained.
Darkness drew nearer as the twins made camp, Ivan had already located and captures a Doe which he had prepared and was roasting.
"I've decided to follow the path of the spear, having tried various weapons throughout the week I feel more comfortable with it," Kamila stated over the crackling flames.
"I....I would also follow your advise and pick up the Great sword, I'll be in your care," Kaleb added before two different manuals manifested in their laps.
"In your hands are body Cultivation manuals, which incline towards your chosen weapon, " he begun while staring at the flame.
"The first three stages of body Cultivation are Mortal, Dormant and Primal.
After the these three are strengthened, Awakened and Enhanced
Following these three are Refined, Augmented and Advanced
These are the 9 stages of body Cultivation, now with this Cultivation awakened an energy derived from your vitality or life force which is called internal energy or Qi, it's a neutral energy than can work will all other types without opposition, this will be your foundation apart from mana this should be your second best source of energy never abandon it are we clear?!" he demanded to which the twins nodded.
"Hey Ivan what's so important that your rushing to get to down south?" Kaleb asked "ahh that...you see my physique is quite special, if I start body Cultivation right now I'll be unable to inactive the Runic Glphs I once had, that's why I'm rushing," he explained.
"Glphs?" Kamila asked intrigued
"Ohh you might not be aware of those, you see the normal mortal body cannot handle Runic engravings on the flesh as it tends to burn through
Thus a collection of brilliant minds created an improved alternative to use runic power on the body without the damage so they created Glphs," he explained with a smile
"Who are they?!" Kamila asked
"Hmmm ohh that it was the elves, barbarians, dwarves, wykins and spirits, a rather odd congregation," he laughed only to find the twins speechless.
"What?!" "Of all the races you've mentioned we only know dwares and elves, the rest are merly fairytales we've read in books," Kaleb replied
"Ehh really it seems like they've erased themselves from history....well it's no surprise given how humans treated them, not that it matters anyway.
Now as I was saying the Glphs them made could be engraved on the body giving the hosts a wide variety of capabilities, for example one of the Glphs I had was used to suppress my chimeric bloodline, and it was aa compilation of legendary creatures so you can estimate the capabilities of the Glphs."
"So which Glphs are you going for?" Kaleb asked as his curiosity was peeked by the vague power of the Glphs.
" I'll just restore the old ones, I called them the Glphs of Ranvar
They were Glphs centered around three concepts, the soul body and origin or core. These three are every beings aspect of existence. Without them you don't exist and are nearly a hollow," he explained as his gaze for a second turned cold before retaining it's usually nonchalance.
"All that aside get some rest, I want you two to reach Primal stage within a week," he stated .
"Isn't that too fast?! it took me half a year to build my foundation in order to form my core!" Kaleb complained.
"Don't worry about the details I'll make sure you reach the threshold I've set, just be prepared for excruciating pain," Ivan chuckled.
