Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Price Of Rebirth

The Varia's led Ivar into their mansion, Getrude chose to erase all hostility that was brewed and start on a clean slate. As much as she wanted to throw a tantrum and place all blame on Ivar, they had indeed trespassed into what seemed to be his tomb.

Considering this him being heavy handed on them was nearly a slap on the wrist, most experts would eradicate their raiders and their families before plundering them.

Ivar had been given an appropriate attire to wear, the mansion still had to uphold a certain degree of decency despite his status, though he had used Mana to seemingly create his clothes, it would eventually disperse.

Ivar was guided towards a room, he closed the door and looked around aimlessly, he touched the potted plants, the wooden cupboard, the tables and chairs, the walls, mirror, windows before finally sitting on the bed. He then fell to sleep uncaringly.

The next day

Ivan took sat in a lotus position as he closed his eyes as he assessed his body and what he saw baffled him

It was more to say he didn't see anything, his body had been reborn according to Albedo's Journal, he restarted life as a toddler, to a teen before finally stoping his growth at young adult.

'I can't feel sense my Mana circuit, meridian or even my Mana core,' he frowned whiled inspecting his whole body using his soul sense.

'I even lost the glyphs engraved on my body, the runes of my skeleton everything is gone,' his frown deepened. "Is this what she meant by rebirth, shedding off all previous deeds and starting afresh?" he questioned.

"Dammit I'll have to start cultivating from scratch," he complained thinking of the various painful experiences he had to accumulate so much strength.

*But it's not a bad thing though, I can set up a foundation equal to that of the Paragons of my Era, " he planned already mapping a way forward. 'But it would seem the power she mentioned me reclaiming was about my physical, mental and soul energies not Mana, my aura is also unstable,' he flexed his hand ' the casual aura slash I threw at the bearded boy also did harm me to some degree.'

If Marcus was able to hear Ivan's thought he would cough mouthfulls of blood and his heart breaks in millions of pieces. What about that strike was casual?! Was a casual slash able to take out a quasi 8 star beast along with it's colony?! Was a casual slash supposed to shatter his barrier while also injuring him beyond a mere flesh wound?! Was a casual slash able to destroy half a dozen barriers made by an Expert Magus?!.

"I'll have to start body cultivation to set up my foundation..." Ivan rubbed his chin, "...but I'll have to make a Tier 5 elixir to maximise my gains, that and an Elemental abode of gravity, though the latter is simpler than the former, where am I supposed to find an elemental abode of the Variant element of Gravity," he contemplated before sighing.

"In the worst case Scenario I'll just have to find the Gallilean Peaks and cultivate there,". he concluded before leaving the room.

' According to Albedo after hiding me after my rebirth she could no longer personally visit my tomb, thus she constructed four more tombs where she stored the remainder of my belongings that she couldn't transport to my actual tomb.' he chuckled slightly at her ingenuity.

' She stated that she setup various safety precautions so that my things are kept safe but I doubt on this Millenia's that no curious explorer has yet to stumble upon it, that being said stumbling and utilizing are two different thing,' he took a turn while nodding to the frightened maids who scampered away.

' I hope she's at least found the Rainbow Quill and the Abhorents blood, I'll need those to rewrite my glphs,' he turned again only to bumb into Kamila.

Her eyes trembled as she kept backwards falling into a battle stance, "Am I that scary?! I notice even the maids flew when I nod at them," he chuckled helplessly.

"Well ignoring the fact that you nearly killed. us in the mines..." Kamila begun but stopped mid-sentence not wanting to be pretty and good a grudge that was both their faults changed the subject. "....your eyes are scary, it's like your planning something and can see through our everything...it's uncomfortable to say the least," she exhaled relaxing herself.

"My eyes?!..." Ivan questioned in surprise before a stray thought wandered into his mind . "Did I loose my chimeric abilities as well or were they intergrated into my new body?!' he questioned before turning to Kamila who had relaxed her stance.

"Is there a training room within this Mansion? And if so would you care to accompany me, there are a few things I'll need help testing out?" he asked gently.

Kamila scanned Ivan for a full minutes with furrowing her brows before shrugging of "I don't see a problem with that and I also have a few questions to so....I might as well keep you company," she beckoned as she led Ivan through the Mansion.

"Back at the mine how did you make the elements and Mana so docile?! I've been struggling to bend the elements but I always fail in this regard?" she asked leading the way.

"Mmhh that I used my affinity and state of being to beckon them to do my will simple as that," he replied casually while his mind strayed through various thought.

Kamila stopped and turned staring at Ivan with a questioning gaze "what now?" he asked looking back at her.

"Your weird...how do you just 'use your state of being to beckon the elements'" she imitated with a base that made Ivan smile.

"I'm not weird I did what I said....it must be that your unfamiliar with the method that's all," he chuckled as a memory flashed through his mind. ' She's so much like Berian, I wonder if she reincarnated like those hero's brought from other worlds.'
