Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Chimeric Traits

"So what's a state of being?" Kamila asked freely while they entered the training hall.

"It's a projection of your existence in layman's, " he replied while his gaze spun around the room.

"Heh?!...Why are you being more confusing," Kamila complained while rubbing her head.

"It's not confusing it's more likely that your dumb," Ivan replied with a light smile.

"Your kinda pissing me of right now, who's dumb let me tell you that I was the fastest to comprehend Faragay's cultivation manual which is said to be one of the hardest one," she puffed her chest in pride.

"Then that just means your whole generation is filled with dumbasses is you are among the first," he laughed dodging a hook.

"Anyways jokes aside...Every living being has a 'worth' or 'value' in the grand scale of things, this worth is then compiled within every race to give them a particular standing, this standing is what most call the state of being." he explained.

"Now of all the races that exist the first by far without opposition is the Origin or primordials whichever you see fit, they are followed by God's or Dieties, Dragons come in third followed by Phoenix's and other mythical beasts, to put it bluntly humans are not even in the top 50," he continued to which Kamila attentively listened. "Why do I feel like I'm back in my mentoring days," he shook his head internally he wasn't one to be stingy with basic information more so to the descendants of his old friends.

"With a humans low standing their affinity, quantity and quality in the energies and elements is quite lacking, thus need years of practise to attain what other higher races did in less time..." "why do you keep saying human this, human that, aren't you human yourself?" Kamila interupted.

"I'm not sure what I am at the moment, but human isn't what I am, I can tell that much," he replied before continuing "so manipulation of the elements become so much harder unless one finds a way to increase their affinity or raise their state of being."

Kamila fell into a bit of thought before asking "but. didn't you say state of being is a compilation of a race, then doesn't that mean you'll have to elevate an entire race before elevating your individually?" she asked not wanting to think of the amount of time it would take.

"Not necessarily, ones state of being is dictated by their race that's for sure, but only upon birth, there's no law that says you can't individually increase your own, nothing is ever equal in this world Kamila, never forget that," he stated his voice Stern and serious to which Kamila nodded.

Ivan raised his hands and pulled back as Mana weaved forward a dozen wooden puppets that had been across the training hall .

'Lets see if I still have my eyes, he said as his stared at the puppets for a while before closing them.

Once he did the darkness of his sight erupted in detail as he could tell everything that was happening within a 200meter radius around him. My mind's Eye's Internal sight has weakened to the point of it being equal to my soul sense, though it has become more detailed that I can perceive all forms of energies around me,' he analyzed.

He opened his eyes now staring at the puppets.

'Ahhh I still have that bastards eyes,' he clicked 'Why did I have to wish for the eyes of a hero' he sighed before continuing with some tests.

'Its seems I've lost my eye of Foresight and petrification, but still have the Wykin eyes of Truth and Underatanding, that's all I needed to confirm.'

He then stretched his arm as his eye gained Runic syllables that seemed too alluring to gaze at, when Kamila saw his eyes she fell into a trance as her Comprehension of her cultivation manual soared, she could feel her bottleneck becoming far looser that it initially was.

'Hoo she gained a minor breakthrough from looking at the eyes of Truth and Understanding, she's too much like her Ancestor, should I guide her towards the path of the spear, I do master it sometime back,' he thought while assessing himself.

'Well fuck!' he rubbed his temples "What's with this unbalanced state, a powerful soul, a Divine physique but still in mortal realm, a chaotic Bloodline and a state of being equal to dragons,' he cursed ' how am I even alive?!...ahh forget it it ought to be that bitch Vita' he concluded as a wave of killing intent leaked out briefly before being suppressed.

' I'll have to adjust my plans, if I breakthrough into a higher body realm I'll be unable to drawn my glphs back, or even retain the golden skeleton runes,' he sighed 'Damn those hero bastards were lucky with their systems, come to think of it does the current era have a hero?!' he thought before shrugging it off.

Hero's were nothing more than trouble magnets something the current him did not want in the slightest.

He focused his Hero eye on his bloodline as it's information manifested in his mind

He's eyes narrowed into slits as he read the list, of all the listed names only 5 were originally his own, the rest complete foreign to him.

'I used to have a Draconic heart, Phoenix blood, Wykin eyes, Behemoth body, that much has mutated or been elevated, but God Bloodline, Cryolite Turtle King, Grey Ash Oak Tree, Leviathan, Unicorn, Fox these are beings I've never touched!'
