Chapter 24 - Mimi's hero killed Mimi, Mimi is happy. #Mimi

Mimi love flowers. They captivate Mimi with their beauty and fragrance, and they fill Mimi with joy.

Do you see that marvelous display over there? The tribesmen call it Mimi's flower magic, because they believe Mimi have a unique ability to manipulate the flowers. But it's actually just a basic wind magic that Mimi learned from a book, shhhh! Don't tell the tribesmen. It's our little secret, 'kay? Mimi don't want to upset or anger them.

Flowers twirl around Mimi, landing softly on each stone that Mimi have arranged in a circle. Mimi did good, tehehe. Mimi feel proud of Mimi for creating such a lovely scene. The flowers are like Mimi's friends, and they dance with Mimi in the breeze.

"Mimi, how's your day?" one tribesman asks Mimi kindly.

"Good morning, uncle. My day is good!" Mimi greet him with Mimi's bright smile.

Uncle always greets Mimi every morning, and so do Auntie, Mr. Cree, Ms. Sle, Missy, Uncle Ro, wait… and everyone else. Everyone loves Mimi very much. Mimi is a good girl, that's why the tribesmen love Mimi and treat Mimi well.

"Mimi!" "Mimi, do the flower magic." "Mimi, take this. It's a new harvest." "Look here, see that. Hahaha, got you, Mimi." "You look beautiful today, Mimi." "Hohoho, Mimi's scale is shining bright today as always." …

As Mimi skip walking along the hill, Mimi was greeted by everyone warmly. Mimi give them Mimi's sincere smile back. Mimi even offer them a free service of Mimi's flower magic to make them happy. Mimi use Mimi's wind magic to make the flowers fly around Mimi and them, creating a colorful and fragrant atmosphere. They always praise Mimi for Mimi's flower magic, even though it's not really magic. But Mimi don't mind, Mimi like to see them smile. They are like Mimi's family, and they care for Mimi in this village.

On the hill, Mimi dance gracefully with the flowers that Mimi love. Mimi's favorite flower is Lilysi, which has four petals that Mimi's father told Mimi are a sign of good luck. All other flowers have more than four petals, making Lilysi very unique and rare. But Mimi don't like them just because of that. Mimi like them because when they fly in the air, they fly like butterflies, flapping and flapping, very beautiful.

Mimi swirl the wind in Mimi's hand, and Lilysi dance around Mimi. Tehehe, Mimi did good. Mimi feel happy and free when Mimi dance with the flowers. They are like Mimi's friends, and they understand Mimi.

Oh no. It's already noon, Mimi didn't notice. Father will look for Mimi everywhere. Mimi don't want that. He got lost before trying to find Mimi, when Mimi was just playing with a Trabbit at that time, and Mimi lost track of time. Mimi is a good girl, Mimi won't worry father anymore. Mimi will go back to the village now.

Oh, a Trabbit is an animal. They have six legs and they jump really, really, really high! Some call them monsters, but the tribesmen protect them from other races. Mimi don't know why other races consider creatures with life cores as monsters. Bad guys! They want to kill them and take their life cores. A life core is like a shiny stone that gives life to the creature. It's very precious and powerful, but Mimi don't care about that. Mimi just want to play with the Trabbit and the flowers. They are Mimi's friends, and they make Mimi happy.

"Mimiiiiiiii!!!"

Oh no, father is calling Mimi already. Mimi is in trouble.

"Father, Mimi is here!"

"Sob! Mimi, don't make father worry like that. Promise me." Father is crying again. He really exaggerates. Mimi is just a few minutes late. Mimi didn't do anything bad.

But Mimi's a good girl, so Mimi console father. "Here, here, father. Mimi is here, see? Mimi is fine." Mimi hug father and pat him gently.

Mimi can't blame father. Mimi don't know the whole story, but the tribesmen say it's because of Mimi's mother. Mimi's mother went out and didn't come back. They call her the last warrior, but Mimi don't actually remember anything about her. Mimi was just 3 brens old at that time.

Father calms down and starts to prepare the meal. He is a good cook, and he always makes delicious food for Mimi.

Let's see, the meal today is steamed potato and sisimi nuts. A potato is like a big round vegetable that grows under the ground, and sisimi nuts are like small crunchy seeds that grow under tree roots. They are very tasty and nutritious.

"Father! Father! Tell me more stories about Mr. Berserker!" Mimi ask him excitedly.

"You still want more? I already told you all the stories I know." He says with a smile.

"But Mimi want to hear more. How about repeating for Mimi the story of The Berserker Who Divided The Mountain!" Mimi beg him with Mimi's cute eyes.

"Alright, alright, what to do with you? But first, take your life core pill." He says as he hands Mimi a small red pill.

"Already done, father!" Mimi say to father, urging him to tell Mimi a story of Mimi's hero. Mimi always take Mimi's life core pill every day. It helps Mimi to grow stronger and healthier.

"Okay, here I go. Listen, Mimi…" He says as he begins to tell Mimi the story of Mr. Berserker.

["Berserker. The word alone strikes fear into the hearts of every race. They are the ones with red eyes and yellow hair, the ones who bring destruction wherever they go. Always. Destruction. But some believe that the berserkers are not mere agents of chaos, but harbingers of a greater destiny, a destiny that can be changed by those who dare to defy fate. And our Bliran Tribe was one of those who believed. One of those who hoped.

One berserker was called the Hero Berserker. He was the one who saved our tribe from extinction, when we faced a calamity that no one could have foreseen. Our tribe was located near the Great Wall at that time, a massive barrier that separated us from the rest of the world. One day, a gigantic rock fell from the sky, burning with fire magic in its entirety. It was heading straight for our city, and we had no way of escaping. The Great Wall blocked our way to the other side, and they refused to let us in, not caring about our plight. And in front and beside us were mountains and hills, too steep and rugged for our thousand people to traverse. We had two choices in front of us: to fight our way through the wall with our mightiest warriors, or to evacuate through the mountains with great difficulty. The tribe chose the latter, not wanting to shed blood. Not wanting to harm any other tribe or race just because they didn't help us. Leaving our homeland with heavy hearts, we departed.

But the rock was faster than us, and it soon caught up with us. Small fragments hit the city first, but no one died there because we had already left. But fate was not done with us yet, and a fragment hit the front of our caravan, killing half of our people instantly. Some warriors tried to resist, but it was futile. With no way of moving forward, we all knew it was our end.

And that was when the Hero Berserker appeared, falling from the sky like one of those fragments. His fiery eyes gazed at us with a strange intensity. His scales on his head glowed yellow. Yes, he was from the snake race, slightly different from our lizard race. They were hostile to us, no, hostile to all. But a berserker did not belong to any race; they were on their own.

The Hero Berserker split the massive fiery rock with one swing of his sword and also split the mountain in its path. Half of it hit the Great Wall, destroying it and everything behind it. Yes, they died, all of them inside. The other half floated in midair, suspended by some unknown force.

The Hero Berserker then took half of the fiery rock and also took half of the corpses of our warriors. Some protested but in the end they reluctantly let go. He said he needed them for something important, something that would change the world.

Before he left, seeing us in despair, he bestowed us with a gift: a totem magic that protected us from harm for hundreds of years, that we still use today. He was our hero, our benefactor.

And so the story goes."]

"Mimi, are you crying? You always cry when you hear this story." Father asks Mimi with concern.

"Sob! Sob! It's just…unfair. Other races are unfair in treating the berserkers. If Mimi meet a berserker, Mimi will help and never despise him, even if he does harm to Mimi. Sob! After all, he has a big reason for doing so, more than anyone could imagine…" Mimi say as Mimi wipe Mimi's tears.

"Right, right, Mimi. Here, here." Father pats Mimi gently. He knows how Mimi feel about the berserkers. They are misunderstood and persecuted by other races, who fear their power and hate their appearance.

"Leader, we have an urgent situation." An uncle calls Mimi's father from outside.

"Huh? What did I say when I'm with my daughter? Never come here, huhhh." Father says angrily. He doesn't like to be disturbed when he is with Mimi. He is the leader of the tribe, and he has many responsibilities, but he always makes time for Mimi.

Swoosh!

Mimi's father shushes uncle away with his air spear. It doesn't hit him though. Come on, father. You're embarrassing Mimi again. He is just trying to do his job.

Father comes back to Mimi. "Come here, Mimi. Let father pat you again." Tehehe, but Mimi can't resist father's patting. Father really loves Mimi. He hugs Mimi and kisses Mimi's forehead.

Mimi came along with Mimi's father to the central pool, where everyone from our village gathers around, because we received urgent news concerning the safety of everyone. We heard that a giant creature, a fearsome beast, is on its way to our village. It could attack us at any moment and destroy everything we have.

Mimi wanted to help, but Mimi didn't know how. What could Mimi do to protect Mimi's people and Mimi's home? Mimi felt helpless and scared.

Mimi's father, who is our tribe leader, tried to discuss how to handle the situation, calming everyone down. He told us to be brave and strong, and to prepare for the fight.

During their discussion, Mimi heard the word that represents Mimi's hero: berserker.

Mimi was really afraid when Mimi saw Mr. Berserker. His face was painted with blood, and a pair of severed hands was dangling around his neck. He looked like a monster, a savage killer. It was definitely him, Mimi's beloved hero, the one with red eyes and yellow hair. Definitely him.

Everyone was also afraid of him, making way for him. They trembled and cowered as he walked by. Until he reached Mimi. He stared at Mimi as if he knew Mimi adored him. But Mimi couldn't resist being afraid of him. He was so ruthless and terrifying. But Mimi really wanted to assist him no matter what.

It hurt. Mimi was hurt. Mr. Berserker stabbed Mimi, taking Mimi's life core, still staring at Mimi. Mimi stood Mimi's ground, this was it, the moment Mimi's assistance was needed for Mimi's hero. Even if it was Mimi's life, Mimi courageously overcame Mimi's fear. Mimi shed tears, but no longer out of fear, but out of joy.

Mimi knew. You didn't have to tell Mimi, Mr. Berserker, you had reasons. A good reason. You needed it to fight the giant and save us all. Mimi did good.

Mimi cast Mimi's flower magic, hoping it would reach him someday when he needed it. Mimi hoped they would show him Mimi's love and gratitude for being Mimi's hero.
