Liam's smile faded, replaced by a mix of sadness and acceptance. "I understand, Athena. I can't control my feelings, but I can control how I handle them. I'll always be here for you as a friend, no matter what."
Athena nodded, her voice filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Liam. Your friendship means more to me than words can express."
Amanda paced back and forth in her office, a devious smile playing on her lips. She had overheard the conversation between Liam and Athena, and she saw an opportunity to cause chaos within the group of friends. If she could make Liam believe that Athena wanted him instead of Logan, it would surely drive a wedge between them.
