"Excuse me" Linda said as she left the room. She atmosphere had gotten too tense for her to handle, and her mind was a literal mess.
"I think you should follow her dude" Adam loudly whispered to Lex.
"Don't you think i have more important issues right now" Lex groaned, subtly pointing at the room full of people. Three of which he didn't recognize.
He didn't know what Laura and the others thought after seeing his evolution. Lex did not know whether to tell the truth or to lie, because he knew that if he where to lie it would have to a pretty good one. Lex felt a head ache coming on as he raised his hand to scratch his head.
As he did so he noticed that his fingernails where completely black. Kinda looking the same as the new girl's. This discovery made Lex go wide eyed as one of his concerns for the evolution seemed to be coming true. He quickly rushed over to the mirror on the wall and proceeded to stare at his reflection.
The first difference he noticed was his eyes which instead of having round pupils like a normal person, his where now slits.They where also red but he was not worried about that as it might have something to do with his element. They looked like the cat he once saw walking home from, which was weird because normal animals had gone extinct 100 years ago.
The next difference Lex noticed where his teeth. Their shape had become triangular as they got sharper and, he could feel that they were now stronger. Lex did not know what to think anymore, his so called father had specifically told him that he would not transform whatsoever, but lo and behold his body was definitely changing.
{ Angela you got a hell lot of explaining to do after I'm done here} Lex internally snarled as he turned around towards his team, and the newcomers. Before he could start trying to explain though, Laura addressed the group.
"I think we all have had a very long and tiring day, and it's midnight so i think it would be best if we all went to sleep. We will pick this up tomorrow. Lex and Adam this is your room, as for the others Clara will show you your respective houses" she announced, already leading everyone out.
Lex internally thanked Laura and was definitely relieved to see his friends exit the room. He now had more time to get his thoughts together and also do something he has wanted to do ever since he woke up. He wanted to check his quest rewards!. Unfortunately for him he had forgotten about a certain redhead in the same room.
"Lex get off your ass and go to Linda, NOW!!" Adam seemed to be very close to going crazy.
"Why ?" Lex asked without a shred of emotion on his face.
Adam snapped at this point "WTF you mean 'why' this is Linda! your crush since kindergarten the same person you have told me countless fantasies about. Well now there is a good chance your non existent charm worked on her !!"
"What's going on with you bro. You have been acting weird lately, and not your usual weirdness this is more. I first saw it yesterday when you where suddenly over excited about staying here to help the villagers, I brushed that off as I thought you were changing for the better, but now you act like you never gave a dam about Linda ? Is it the dragon stuff messing with your emotions or something?"
Lex had paid extra attention to everything Adam had said and that's when he realized that his friend was right. His behavior and way of thinking had changed. He could now easily lie, he manipulated Laura into feeling sorry for him about the drugs and orphan crap not too long ago.
He was more violent, confident and almost fearless. No rank one Cultivator could even think of fighting a rank two beast. The most obvious change Lex noticed though, was in his life goals. Just three weeks ago, his biggest goal was to lose his virginity (like any normal 16 year old) but now his goal was to become stronger.
Having more mature goals in life would be a good thing but for Lex it was a different story. He was not a normal person, he was a magical beast. What if a human he loved came in the way of him getting stronger?. How far would he go to protect his secret in the future?.
Lex was afraid of losing himself to this feeling of needing to gain power as fast as possible. His feelings for Linda faded after the evolution. Would he change after every evolution? becoming more and more a beast?. Would he one day feel the urge to eat people?. These thoughts circulated around Lex's mind and he needed answers before he goes insane.

{Honestly Lex i also don't know the right answers for some of your questions. But what i do know is that your father was a full dragon but he never ate anyone, you are just half.} Angela paused for a bit before finishing her statement.
{Your personality is changing because your father once took over your body, some of his consciousness might still be inside you.}
{Is his personality going to take over me completely one day ?} Lex questioned.
{I don't know} Angela answered.
{Ohh so that means you are fucken useless then !} Lex snapped before apologizing {im sorry for that}.
{Ohh it's ok it's not like i have feelings anyway, I am just a robot inside your head} Angela replied before going quiet.
{Angela..... hello} 'Since when can she turn herself off anyway' Lex thought after receiving no answer from his AI.
Lex turned his attention back to Adam at that point.
"No it's not dragon stuff and yes i will go speak to Linda, then we have to talk about the breakthroughs"
he said. Lex had decided not to tell Adam about what might be causing his change in personality. He trusted Adam but him knowing this information could change the way he looked at him.
"That's what i wanna hear, let's follow them and find out what room Linda got. She and Tina are probably sharing, so two birds with one stone"Adam revealed
"Why do you ou wanna talk to Tina? "
"Well... i kind flirted with the new girl when i woke up so i need to do damage control" Adam said, scratching the back of his head.
"YOU! FLIRTING?? so im not the only one who changed." Lex commented with a chuckle.
"What you mean I was always a perfect flirt "Adam rebuked as they left the small room.
