Sera watched as Zaya slowly came out of her spot, her expression revealing guilt, suggesting she was aware of her mistake.
As Sera approached her, Zaya attempted to ask, "Sera, is Zafar-" but Sera's eyes, brimming with disappointment, irritation, disdain, and disgust for Zaya, stopped her mid-sentence.
"Madame, I have to attend to some bookings in the waiting room," Sera said coldly before departing, leaving Zaya to process their strained friendship.
Zaya didn't need to be told that Sera was offended by her. Zaya knew that Sera had sensed her presence during her conversation with Zafar and felt hurt by her actions of calling her an indecisive person.
