"Thank you for doing that for me." Nova stopped Caden when he got back home later that same day.
After the horrors that she had gone through after being brutally assaulted and coming back to this house which was so unwelcome and cold towards her she had felt a tenderness after his actions showing his care. She had not thought he would go to that extent.
"You don't have to thank me for that. I meant every word I said in my study, you are my wife and I will not accept any disrespect to you." He said firmly.
"You did not have to do it and I am thankful that you did it anyway." She insisted and he nodded curtly and left her there and went up the stairs to his room.
"You are not going to last very long here." A voice said in the darkened hallway.
Nova started and turned around to see who it was and she frowned when she saw her sister in-law step out of the shadows.
