Nova felt fear crawling up her skin and making her sweat as she turned sharply at the words and turned white when she saw familiar amber eyes that looked at her knowingly and she turned green as she felt a wave of dizziness and wanted to throw up with fear. She was sure that she was hallucinating, maybe there was something in the wine she had drank that was responsible for her seeing and hearing things that were not there.
As if to mock her he spoke again and Nova's breath spiked as she saw his lips form the words. "You look very beautiful tonight… but then you have always been beautiful."
No no no no no!! Nova thought as she turned away in order to run. How was he here? Should he not be in prison? If this was a dream it was a bad bad dream that she needed to wake up from but when her arm was grabbed roughly and she was wrenched hard against a chest that felt like steel she came to the realization that she was indeed very awake.
