Chapter 10 - Fight

Without making a sound, I leapt towards her, my body surrounded by floating dust particles,I jumped through the air. leaving behind footprints.

As I soared, I noticed my speed significantly increasing. I was able to see evey minor detail of background , the collapsed buildings and a cloud of dust in the sky, while rays of sunlight illuminated the floating particles of dust, creating a strange atmosphere.

My fists clenched as I faced off against the blonde-haired, girl.

Closing in on her face with a clenched fist, I witnessed her raised eyebrow and dilated pupils, signifying her surprise.

Her expression a hidden under her pale hand that placed her mouth , revealing the intensity of her shock. With astonishing agility, she skillfully tilted her head, effortlessly evading my attack as if it was a child's play.

It was no surprise for me that she could easily anticipate and dodge my strike. As a novice in combat, I stood no chance against someone of her skill level. It felt like a rookie challenging a skilled professional.

As my hand passed by he face , a strong gust of air expelled, causing her hair to fly backwards, enhancing her already captivating appearance.

The blonde locks flowing behind her oval face, combined with her silver eyes and well-defined jawline, heightened her beauty.

She swiftly seized my hand, placing one hand on my wrist and the other on my shoulder at the biceps. Her movements were lightning-fast, almost automatic, reflecting her honed battle sense .

In one seamless motion, she gracefully bent at the waist, while circling my body in mid-air before hurling me behind her. Utilizing the momentum I had built, against me, showcasing her mastery of combat techniques.

My body sliced through the air, accompanied by swirling dust particles. I crashed into the debris of a collapsed building with a resounding boom.

The impact gave rise to a mushroom-shaped cloud of dust above me, as the particles settled upon colliding with a stone.

"Hey, stop! It was just a reflex. I swear it was purely instinctual. I didn't mean to throw you off. It was an unconscious reaction."she said , with a gentle yet panicked voice,

Her furrowed eyebrows and flushed cheeks revealed her distress. Urgency emanated from her dilated pupils as she continued, "I understand if you consider me as one of your kin."

Before she could say another word, I materialized in front of her, my body horizontal, aiming a kick towards her abdomen.

As my foot travelled through the air, the remaining dust particles left a trail behind. Just as my kick was about to connect with her abdomen, she swiftly positioned her hand to block, using the radial part of her forearm just above her wrist. To block the attack.

However, both she and I underestimated the impact. Upon the collision, a powerful airwave surged from the point of contact, accompanied by a thunderous boom.

Boom--

The dust particles surrounding her began floating and a blue transparent barrier enveloped her, forcing the dust outside and reducing the force of my kick.

Her hair fluttered, and her dress swayed around her. The once-enveloping dust particles now dispersed, making way for the formation of a blue transparent barrier that shielded her.

With a thunderous boom, she collided with a stone before swiftly regaining her footing. Before she had a chance to react, I materialized in front of her once again, swiftly traversing through the air in a horizontal trajectory.

Like a rocket tearing through the sky, I closed in on her face with an extending foot, leaving behind waves and slicing through the surrounding air and dust.

It seemed that my kick would make contact, but it stopped just inches away from her face.

A thin pink barrier appeared, slightly blurred with a touch of red saturation in its center.

With a resounding boom, my foot collided with the barrier, momentarily halting my kick. Time seemed to slow down as I hung in mid-air, suspended in the intense moment.

The girl before me exhibited a cheeky and arrogant smile as if challenging me to match her level. Her eyes blazed with fiery determination, indicating that I was in for a true battle.

Just as she displayed that smug grin, a crack resonated through the air. The protective barrier shielding her face from my foot shattered, and my kick connected with a thunderous impact.

She was sent hurtling backwards, while I stood amazed by the surge of newfound strength that had coursed through me upon exiting that void.

Again, I soared towards her, continuing our relentless clash. She employed her spells to fire projectiles at me, while I relied on raw physical strength. and we engaged in a ferocious battle.

I noticed the spell surrounding me weakening

After several minutes, of fight she declared, "Enough. Let's put an end to this.", She began casting a spell.

Suddenly, a sense of restriction encased me, hindering my movements. I realized with a sinking heart that I had become her prisoner, trapped within her spell.
