I stood there in stunned silence as she cast a peculiar spell and made her way towards me. I watched her advance, contemplating my actions within these confining barriers.
It dawned on me how foolish I had been, allowing my desires to overpower rationality. I should have suppressed those desires and refrained from being controlled by them, but alas, I failed, and now I faced the consequences of my foolishness.
She stood before me, her face mere inches away from mine, her eyes meeting my gaze. We engaged in a silent staring contest, and after thoroughly inspecting my eyes, she spoke up. "Interesting, I cannot read your mind."
Pausing for a moment, she pondered before asking, "Can you speak?"
Upon hearing her query, anger initially welled up within me, interpreting her question as a mockery of muteness.
The thought of killing her crossed my mind. However, it suddenly occurred to me that she might not be aware of my muteness, hence her inquiry.
I shook my head and attempted to respond. She displayed a hint of embarrassment, her cheeks turning a shade of red. I questioned why I was feeling irritated and taking offence.
It wasn't just her first mistake that bothered me, but the notion of being held captive felt like a disgrace to my very existence. Picturing myself as a prisoner did not sit well with me. I began regarding her as inferior, wondering what that made me. Just as she started speaking, she claimed, "I can sense your emotions and your desire to merge with me."
"No, dear, it is a desire to eliminate you and erase your existence. It seems you misunderstand my intentions," I retorted.
She then recounted a myth where a newborn considers the first person they see as their kin or mother. After explaining this, she continued,
"I know you are confused and frightened, but I also believed that you could understand me, which is why I wanted to know if you-"
Thoughts swirled in my mind, and I desired to kill her and assimilate her into myself. However, I was clueless about the process of absorption, and I knew it wasn't as simple as nutrition.
I dismissed that idea and shifted my gaze. As I surveyed my surroundings, I noticed peculiar blue particles and focused my attention on them.
It became clear to me that they were a form of energy. Contemplating their behaviour, I decided to alter their colour. To my surprise, as I did so, the barrier she had cast around us began to change, gradually losing its structure. It transformed into a chaotic mass of particles before finally collapsing with a resounding crack.
Gasping, the girl before me placed a hand over her mouth, suppressing an astonished and shocked expression. She darted glances in my direction, seemingly attempting to uncover my secrets. Then she sighed. "It's quite disappointing that I can't read your mind," she sighed, shaking her head with a tinge of disappointment.
Continuing in a more lighthearted tone, she added, "If I could, we could have had more open conversations."
"In any case, have you calmed down now?" she asked, with one eyebrow arched and her dilated eye indicating her interest in me. A smile formed at the corner of her lips, reminiscent of a child joyfully rediscovering a lost toy.
At that moment, I couldn't help but think, am I nothing more than a toy to her
"Wait, what is her name?"
"I don't know her name."
"But before that, how much time has passed?"
"And why am I here?"
Anyway, she was incredibly crafty, with an arsenal of bizarre spells at her disposal. She could bind me whenever she pleased, leaving me feeling helpless like a headless chicken awaiting its demise. But before dwelling on that, I needed confirmation that I was still on Earth.
I raised my head and looked into her enchanting silver eyes, contemplating my next question. I envisioned a future where I would defeat her and adorn my surroundings with her eyes. The idea of her as a wife materialized in my mind, a passing thought quickly overshadowed by the reality of my situation.
I attempted to speak, to ask her, "Hey, do you know where we are" But to my dismay, no sound escaped my lips. I berated myself for my forgetfulness, for such a crucial aspect of my existence slipping from my mind. "I am a fucking mute," I realized with frustration.
Lost in my self-reproach, I was interrupted by her voice. "Hey, you tried to say something," she exclaimed, her tone overly excited, raising her eyebrow and forming a curious smile.
She repeated my attempted words with different variations, a puzzled expression on her face. "What was that...?" she mused, taking a moment to think.
"You tried to ask something like, 'We wea... rea...'" she continued, struggling to decipher my failed attempt. Eventually, she grasped it, exclaiming, "It was, 'Where are we?'"
Her eyes sparkled as they met mine, and she began jumping up and down with excitement, causing her assets to bounce slightly.
Inwardly, I made a self-satisfied remark about her cup size but quickly snapped back to attention as her voice resonated with an astonishing and enchanting tone. "You tried to say your first word, right?"
"You tried to say your first word, right?" she exclaimed. Annoyance welled up within me as I found her annoyingly loud, overly expressive, and completely different from her battle mode.
I had been prepared for a potential sneaking attack, but here she was, just jumping up and down with an excited expression, touching my clothes and skin.
"I am happy. Too happy," she declared. "You're too intelligent for a newborn," she added, unabashedly touching my chest.
Noticing my displeasure with her strange power, she continued, "Well, I admit you look like an adult and learn things quickly. You've even learned how to use your abilities without anyone teaching you."
" You are amazingly awesome and cool."
She reached out and playfully ran her fingers through my hair. Lost in my thoughts, though still listening to her talk, I was stunned when she uttered the next words.
It hit me like an atomic bomb, without any warning or consideration. Her hand lingered on my neck as if she could break it if I displeased her.
Her tone turned serious as she said, "I'll make you mine..."
