As the crack reached the base of the pillar, it crumbled under immense pressure, transforming into falling stones that carved a path in the air, gradually turning into dust particles.

"No. No. No," Martha gasped, falling to her knees, eyes wide in shock, a terrifying expression etched on her face.

She crumpled to the ground, her legs tangled, hands pressed against an invisible barrier at the edge of the abyss. It looked as if a glass wall blocked her entrance into it.

She focused on the sand accumulating at the base of the pillar, each second passing feeling like an eternity.
