"Listen carefully, I will only say this once," Aaron said, and all the young ones nodded their heads. At that moment, all of their attention was focused on Aaron.
"Rule 1: You are not allowed to harm any woman, man, child, or elderly person who poses no threat or defense.
Rule 2: No stealing. The only exception is if you are stealing from a thief. Otherwise, I will break your nose and mouth.
Rule 3: You cannot use my name or reputation to conduct any business without my permission.
Rule 4: If you see a drunkard causing harm to someone or something important, you must break their nose and mouth. I despise drunkards."
He was explaining his principles to the seven individuals in front of him. Perhaps their minds had been clouded by this apocalyptic scenario, and they were searching for someone to cling to, or maybe they were genuinely adventurous due to their age.
"Are these all, my Lord?" the young man with yellow hair asked.
"No, there is one more," Aaron replied with an affectionate tone.
"What is it?" the young man with yellow hair asked, unable to hide his curious eyes.
"Since I am taking you under my protection, from now on, you are my family. Whenever you need something, you will come to me. If I hear that you seek help from someone else, I will break your nose and mouth so badly that you won't have a face anymore."
Then he waited few seconds and after that quick session he said ''and when you meet with my family, see them as they are me- they are important you see.''.
"Ah, your family. We had the privilege of meeting them before," the red-haired girl said.
"What do you mean? I didn't know they came to Leeds," all the young ones were surprised by these words.
"Ahem... Lord, I believe you don't know why you are so widely recognized," the red-haired girl said.
Aaron had never thought about it before. Indeed, people in Durham World Tower looked at him and his family in a strange way after they killed the boss monster, and on top of that, people in Leeds World Tower approached him with a strange mixture of respect and fear.
"Tell me," Aaron said, coldly and with astonishment.
"It's the System, my Lord. When you fought the boss monster, a panel appeared in front of us. All of England, maybe even the whole world, watched you through that panel."
"I never thought about that," Aaron said. But why hadn't he gained any rank or achievement? If so many people were watching him, he should have gained something—perhaps it was impossible to gain anything from what the System did.
"Sir?" the young man with yellow hair said, and Aaron made a gesture to hear him clearly, putting his thoughts aside. As a result:
"We were wondering if there's something you want us to do," the young man with yellow hair asked with hopeful eyes.
Normally, he wouldn't tell them to do anything, at least for now. But since he didn't know exactly what could happen when choosing his second sponsor, he had to give them orders, even if it was by force.
"For the next few days, don't allow anyone to enter this safe zone unless they have serious injuries. Otherwise, do not open the doors under any circumstances and do not disturb me, even if I scream."
Upon hearing his words, the young ones stood up together and began arming themselves. The young man with yellow hair bowed in front of Aaron and said, "As you command." Seeing what was happening, the only thing Aaron had to do was go back upstairs and choose Lucifer.
He ascended to the upper floor with slow steps, entered the room, closed the door, and sat on the bed. Then he accessed the God System.
In front of Aaron, there were hundreds of sacred beings with their names and sponsorship requests, but he let each one vanish from his mind, leaving only one remaining: "Fallen Angel Lucifer."
Aaron placed his hand over Lucifer and touched the notification, creating a system message:
"Do you wish to accept the sponsorship request of Fallen Angel Lucifer? YES/NO."
Aaron placed his hand over the "Yes" option and touched it. Then something unexpected happened—he did not faint? He hadn't ascended to the presence of God Lucifer. Instead, his room began to heat up, and everything flammable in the room started to burn. A massive mass of flames engulfed the room, and Aaron looked attentively at the green-colored fire before him.
Aaron knew very well who the visitor was: "Fallen Angel Lucifer, God Lucifer, Lucifer of the Sin of Pride, or, with a less familiar term, the God of Devils, Lucifer."
He smiled. He didn't know this sacred being very well, as he had only exchanged a fraction of conversation with Nyx. But he had one characteristic that he held toward this being—he had great respect for it.
After all, it was one of the highest-ranking angels and one of the most powerful beings in religious mythology. It had fallen from grace due to its committed sins and had become a fallen angel, creating or developing its own beings in the abyss it had fallen into, or at least that's how it was known.
To Aaron, Lucifer was the same as himself. He had also helped many individuals and, due to his sins, referred to himself as the "greatest sinner." He too had his own objectives. That's precisely why he held great respect for this being.
While it may be somewhat sadistic to have respect for the Devil himself, respect could still exist without being inherently good or evil.
"It's a pleasure to see you, God Lucifer," Aaron said with a smiling face as he looked at the green-colored flame before him.
"I feel the same way, my child. I suppose I must express my thanks for keeping your word," said the apparition within the green flame.
"I assume you won't be emerging from the flames?"
"You know I cannot. These flames are my domain. Just as Nyx could come to you from within the darkness, I can approach you in the same way. However, although you may have resistance to the heat at this distance, we can only communicate within the realm of your reality," Lucifer said, smiling from within the green flames.
"Actually, I was planning to choose Lord Hades, but due to your kind demeanor, I thought it would be best to prioritize you. I hope I haven't made a mistake."
"Hahaha, that works out well for me. Of course, I don't know about Hades—he was quite angry with me. He almost declared war against me," Lucifer said, laughing out loud.
"Well, please convey my apologies to him. Since I didn't know him at first, I thought it would be best to choose someone I had already met. I hope he's not too upset with me."
"Don't worry, it's all talk—no action," Lucifer said with a smiling face.
"Ahem... Well, can we talk about what you will give me?"
"Of course," Lucifer said, looking at Aaron with hopeful eyes. He believed that Aaron would love what he was about to give him and couldn't contain his smile.
Lucifer suddenly gathered the flames in the room into his hand, forming a weapon. As the weapon grew, it extended to about 2.5 meters before stopping. Aaron, of course, knew what this weapon was. Before him stood a spear, and he was certain that it was a very powerful one.
"This spear. It has my blood, and I'm sure you will be surprised and delighted by its properties, my child," Lucifer said, sending the spear toward Aaron.
Excitedly, Aaron said, "I thank God Lucifer for this," and bowed his head.
"No need for thanks. Since we have completed our contract, farewell for now," Lucifer said and disappeared into the flames from which he came.
Aaron sent the spear to his inventory and opened its details. What he saw not only surprised him but also made him incredibly happy. This thing... it was excessively powerful.
"Dark Night's Flame Spear
Rank: SSS
Attribute Effects: +55 Elemental Power for Fire and Darkness Spells, +35 Elemental Power when wielded, +80 Agility when wielded
Weapon Enchantment: When the user wields the weapon, the cooldown of prepared spells is reduced by 10% during the wielding duration, and the user's mana consumption is reduced by 5%. Each enhancement and rank increase (plus enchantment) applied by the user to the spear adds a flame attribute, and at the highest level, every attack made with the spear creates waves of fire.
Weapon Therapy: Provides defense against all fire spells once a week, grants the user the ability to swim even in lava, with a usage time of 2.5 minutes."
Aaron was shocked. He knew that this weapon had been given to him by Lucifer and it should be powerful, but this was a bit of an exaggeration... It could very well be Lucifer's own weapon.
"Perfect..." Aaron said, his hands trembling with excitement.
