Kevin sneaked into the CEO's cabin, making sure no one noticed. He left a file and a letter on the desk before leaving silently.
Next, he went to Mr Adam's cabin and handed over his resignation letter. Mr Adam was pleased that everything went according to the plan.
After leaving the building, Kevin felt a little sad because he had worked there for four years. To clear his mind, he decided to stroll in a nearby park.
-In the meeting room-
Emma enters the room with a pendrive in her hand. She greets the investors with a smile. The CEO was surprised to see her instead of Kevin, but he didn't ask any questions in front of investors.
Emma connected the pendrive and started her presentation. After just two slides, everyone in the room was shocked. The slides consisted of random drawings that looked like a five-year-old made them.
Seeing everyone's expressions, Emma turned around and was equally shocked. She quickly moved to the next slide, only to see more random drawings.
The investors were angry, feeling that the company wasn't taking them seriously, and they left the room in frustration. Emma felt deeply embarrassed, her face turning red with shame.
The manager, Adam, didn't know what to do because the CEO glared at him angrily. So he tried to deflect all the blame on Emma.
"Emma, what is this? Do you realize the loss we will suffer because of this? You're fired!" he shouted.
Unable to hold back her tears, Emma rushed out of the room.
She blamed everything on Kevin.
"I lost my job because of you."
She now understood why Kevin had given her the pendrive so easily.
The CEO was upset. He was also confused about why Emma was in Kevin's place. But now he needed to talk to investors and ask for another chance. He went to his office to call them.
Inside the office, he noticed a file and a letter on his desk. He opened the letter, and as he read it, his anger grew. The letter was from Kevin, who explained that Manager Adam had falsely accused him of stealing company funds and had forced him to resign. Kevin also revealed that it was Adam who had been stealing the money.
Frustrated, the CEO threw the letter aside and looked through the files, confirming that Adam was responsible for the theft.
Just then, Mr. Adam entered the room, "Sir, did you call me?" he asked politely.
"Yes, I did," the CEO replied sternly. "Do you know anything about the person who's been stealing our company funds?"
Adam hesitated for a moment but decided to stick to his story. "Well, I think it was Kevin who was stealing the funds, but he resigned before we could find out for sure."
"Do you have any proof that Kevin was responsible?" the CEO enquired.
"Well, I've been trying to find evidence," Adam replied.
"How can you accuse Kevin without any solid evidence?" the CEO demanded.
Adam struggled to find an answer, mentally blaming Emma for the situation. "If she had done a better job, things wouldn't have escalated like this."
"Mr. Adam, I have proof that it was you who stole company funds. You put the blame on Kevin and forced him to resign, didn't you?" the CEO said sternly.
Adam tried to defend himself, "No, sir. I didn't do anything. Kevin resigned on his own accord."
The CEO threw the file at him, shocking Adam that the CEO knew about the situation.
"Mr. Adam, you're fired," the CEO said firmly.
"I'm sorry, sir. Please give me one more chance. I've realized my mistake," Adam begged.
The CEO walked out of his office, ignoring Adam's pleas.
