That same night Amrita waited for Giovanni to be home, she couldn't believe that he would leave home today without checking up on her, though making the woman fall into depression and Joanna's words about her being barren started seeping into her head, it broke through her strong defenses and rendering her into a state of indecisiveness.
It was not all about her sister in-law saying that she was barren, but she knew herself well to know that if she makes the mistake of letting her words affect her, and try to prove otherwise. She might put herself in danger, one that might cost her life but yet, maybe it was worth trying.
