"A Party, huh? Is that code-word for being in a harem? I don't want to be just another wife to collect." Evyra caught on quick to his possible schemes - but she was wrong this time.
Everyone was wrong. Azier just wanted to have fun.
"Well, you don't have to think of it as being a wife. You can just use me for protection. I'm a certified Prince after all - I am allowed to amass a collection of ladies to call my own. You won't be a wife - you'll be a charge- a friend. When you want to leave, you leave. It gets your dad off of your back, and it fulfills my wish to be." He replied as though this was something he had thought long and hard about before hand.
"...Your wish to be what?" Evyra quirked a strong eye brow and peered down into the rose-colored eyes of their newly discovered....head....
"Oh no, I just wish to be. Just be. Do what I want, when I want, how I want, with who I want." He repeated his desires again and then just smiled with a silent satisfaction.
"...You..You really don't want to be a war-lord, do you?" The burgundy beauty looked truly surprised, as though she had just seen him for the first time. Or really someone who saw the real him for the first time ever.
'It's just a phase' and 'You'll grow out of this behavior' were two phrases he heard non-stop in his life, and both he vehemently denied, as well as proved wrong - especially with the whole body thing.
"Fuck no. Are you kidding me? What a boring life. Meetings, decorum, keeping peace, making allies - it's all a lot of work. Too much work for my lack of desire to do any of it, you know?" He replied with nothing but truth, and this time gave out a real dramatic sigh.
"I just want to see the world with some pretty ladies at my side, stick both of my middle fingers way, way up to the whole kingdom business, and just fucking /live/. What's the point of life if you never have any fun and spend it trying to keep what you stole in the first place?"
Evyra seemed to mull over his thoughts and then gave a determined nod. "You make a good appeal, but I'm only fast in making my mind up in a fight. When my life isn't on the line, I like to take my time making decisions. If you want a woman like me to 'party' with you, then you're going to have to show me you're worth it."
He felt pleased - in his experience, the only time women ever threw the 'show me your worthy' line at him, it meant he had intrigued them enough. Otherwise, they wouldn't have invited the chase.
Very good, then. The chase it would be.
The boat started to begin to sway lightly as their conversation continued, and then it picked up a little more...and more...and before they knew it, the vessel full-on shifted back and forth.
"It seems we hit a storm," Evyra let out as she looked up to the lantern that hung from the ceiling sway back and forth violently.
"Well, then it's a good thing I am in your hands." He responded with delight.
"I can't really sit here and hold you. I should go up top to help my older sisters and the rest of the crew. My younger ones aren't as strong, but they have other talents. I'm going to take you over to my sister, Amyra. She's really smart, so I'm sure she'll figure out some way to keep your head above water," Evyra joked.
Azier liked that a lot - and it even delighted him so much it made him chuckle. "Understandable - and thank you for not putting me back in that damned box. I realize that is the easiest path to take, but you're going out of your way to take me to a nicer place. I know you don't have to do that, so thank you Evyra."
"Call me Evy. All my friends do. I may not be ready to combat Ilsa about your idea, but I'm warming up to you, Azier," she replied with a strong smile.
Just as he was enjoying that happiness on her face, the ship took a sudden and violent turn and knocked Evy off of her feet, and caused her to drop Alzier right onto his nose.
"Ahg, fuck - that was unpleasant..." he groaned.
"Sorry, I'm so sorry~" she pleaded out desperately and tried to stand up from the floor and regain her balance, but there was another violent quake of the vessel and both Azier and Evy were knocked towards the port side, where her bed and other furniture was affixed to the floor and walls for safety.
Evy tried to chase after his noggin as it rolled across the floor, and each time she swiped out for him, she missed as his hard head seemed to tumble faster than her body could react. Even when she tried to float into the air and swoop towards him like a pelican, it just seemed like he pinged off of the weights, cups, and other assorted things all over the floor.
Now, Azier himself had never really been a neat person. He'd leave clothes and other sorts of things under his bed, or around it - but never had he seen such a pile of laundry stuffed under one person's bed.
His eyes widened in both worry and in excitement as he started to roll down towards the crevice underneath the bed for storage, and bounced once in a while when his nose rolled over the floor.
"Ow,ow,ow,owowow,ow" he let out almost with a flat tone, despite the fact he truly was in pain. However, the situation was so funny that it seemed to null the blows to his sculpted nose.
"Oh shit- Azier, I am so so so sorry!" Evy shouted out this time with horror as she watched him disappear under her bed and into her pile of laundry and other things she had hastily stuffed away in an effort to get her room to look clean as fast as possible. Game recognized game, luckily. I mean, how many times had he done the same practice?
"Evy! Evy, dammit - where are you!?" Ilsa's screams drowned out the storm as she questioned out in pure anger.
"Oh shit... Okay... Look, you'll be fine under there - and if not, I owe you a lot -- like a lot a lot!" Evy shouted over her shoulder as she scrambled to leave her cabin before any more of her eldest sister's wrath grew into something far worse.
"Hey, wait! You have panties and stuff...down.....here.....you're gone, aren't you?" Azier asked out as loudly as he could, but even he could tell his voice was muffled underneath the pile of cloth.
Ilsa must have been very, very scary when she was angry for Evy to have left him amongst her intimates. I mean, he was going to daydream about it anyway - but it wasn't as fun to find out from underneath a princess' bed instead of her clothes.
"Well, fuck. This is not the muff diving I was hoping for, and yet - here I am." Azier rambled onto himself, as he had for the past hundreds of years (it was a pretty fun coping mechanism).
Evy had quite the collections of greens with black accents - and a few were black with some green accents, but never the less - green was everywhere. It must have been her favorite color, or something.
In fact, it looked like they all had their own coded colors. This would help immensely with his spotty memory. Before he could think on anything more, the boat jerked again and he heard a large 'bump' towards the starboard side and found himself jostled back towards the front of her bed, but luckily a large clump of what appeared to be bustiers caught him before he could roll back out again.
"Okay, this... this is not my intention...." Azier's face would have lit up with red if he had any blood pumping through his veins, but he swore he felt his cheeks burn all the same.
Although he felt /very/ awkward (and impressed) with Evy's lingerie collection, he also couldn't help but feel like he was in a much happier, and better place than that god damned box.
The only problem was that he began to feel seasick as well as dizzy in general from his head being thumped against several hard objects that rolled across the floor and made contact with his face.
He couldn't die, but that didn't mean he couldn't feel pain.
Azier wasn't sure if he was tired, or beat up, or maybe his brain went into defense mode - but whatever the reason, he watched his vision fade as he and the pile of silks and cottons he was nestled in slid with gravity.
