Isa Hughes had the temperament of a noble lady, quickly taking her anger out on her good friend Vivian Turner whenever she was upset. Isa often vented her frustrations towards Vivian.
Today, everyone here had been the target of Isa's outbursts at some point.
Now that Jared Hughes had come to confront them, they knew the matter had nothing to do with them and that Vivian was the only one involved.
Nevertheless, they were still anxious, as they had often badmouthed Isa behind her back.
People often feel scared when they have done something wrong, and their relationship with Vivian didn't truly matter to them. They had merely come together because they had all been scolded by Isa.
At this point, they were eager to leave first, afraid that Jared's anger might be directed at them too.
"Sorry, I have something to deal with. I'm leaving now!"
As one person spoke up, the others began to make excuses to leave as well.
