Betsy Russell showered fast, changed her clothes, and quickly left the bathroom, making her way back to the birthday party with Heather Scott.
Upon seeing Betsy Russell and Heather Scott safely descending the staircase, Isa Hughes was utterly puzzled. She murmured, "Wasn't Betsy supposed to be with Patrick Sabir? Why is she coming downstairs?"
Diana Stott, standing beside her, shook her head in bewilderment, wondering, "I'm not sure, could we have been mistaken?"
Isa Hughes inhaled sharply, her voice trembling as she said, "This... This can't be possible!"
At this point, both Isa Hughes and Diana Stott were watching Betsy Russell intently, as if trying to read something on her face. But Betsy appeared to be perfectly fine.
After a moment's thought, Isa Hughes said in a stern voice, "No, I have to confront her, I can't just let her off the hook!"
