Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: A Fight

At a gas station pump, sitting in his white sports car that had a black interior, sat Beau, dialing up his father on his phone. He put his phone up to his ear, hearing it ring, until it reached Nathaniel's voicemail. Beau tossed his phone on the front passenger's side seat, rested his forehead against the steering wheel, and said, "He's avoiding my calls, thinking I'll let this slide. UGH! This is ridiculous! He should have never tried to buy me a wife. Now all she is, is miserable, and it breaks my heart."

BUZZZZZZZZ BUZZZZZZZZ BUZZZZZZZ BUZZZZZZZ BUZZZZZZZ

Beau looked over at his phone to see it vibrating. He quickly picked up his phone and looked at the screen to see Carls calling him. He sighed, rolled his eyes, and answered his phone, saying, "Yes." Carls said, "Master Beau, you are needed at home." Beau said, "Home? Why are you at my house? I thought your shift was over already." Carls said, "I left my house key, but there is a bigger problem. So please Master Beau, come home at once." Beau said, "Problem? What's going on?" Carls said, "This is something that I can not tell you over the phone. We will discuss the matter as soon as you get home. So please hurry quickly." Beau said, "Ah, is it that serious that you can't at least tell me what it's about?" Carls said, "Miss Marigold needs you right now Master Beau." Beau's heart stopped, and he said, "Alright, I'm on my way." Beau hung up the phone and left the gas station, thinking, 'Marigold needs me? Why would she even want to see me after everything? I hope whatever the reason she needs me for it's nothing bad.'

Beau rushed home, sweat dripping down his neck and heart pounding through his chest. He thought, 'Why, why am I so nervous? The fact that I care this much for a woman who doesn't even know me and who I don't even know. We met this morning, and it's like my heart already longs for her… What am I saying? I can't be in love with a woman I just met… I just can't be." He drove until he finally reached his home

SREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECHHHH

His tires dragged against the black top, and he parked in front of his house. He jumped out of his car, leaving his keys in the ignition and rushing to the front door. Beau stood at the front door and tried opening it.

Beau looked through his pockets while grumbling, "Of course, the door is locked at the worst possible time." Trad glanced over at Beau and said, "You're back home quickly. I thought you'd be out for a while. He-ha." Beau looked over at Trad seeing him (Trad) fidgeting with the collar of his shirt and swallowing his own air. Beau kept looking through his pockets for his keys while saying, "Carls called me and told me Marigold needed me, so I have to see what she wants." Trad's eyes widened, and he said, "You know Beau, I thought you said the girl said she hated you? Why would you rush to do anything for her… Heh-ha, I th-think y-you should um… Give her, her sp-space, and leave her be. You don't want the gi-girl to hate you, do you?" Beau said, "She's my wife, and I'm going to be there for her no matter what." Trad looked down, tapping his foot, and saying, "But she doesn't see you as h-her husband. She actually hates y-you, so y-you should really leave her alone. Maybe go to a hotel f-for a f-few days un-until she cools off. H-Hey, maybe you should just go until your parents get back from their trip." Beau scoffed and said, "You seem to care a lot more about Marigold's feelings now than you did before." Trad rubbed the back of his head with his hand while saying, "Well, I am her security guard. I just want her to be happy. If you're all that concerned about her, let me go check on her. I c-can help h-her." Beau said, "I don't care what you are to her. She is my wife, and I'll take care of her myself. Carls already called me and told me she needed me, so I'm going to go in and take care of her." Trad said, "S-See she didn't even call you wh-which means she doesn't want to see you. I can go in and help her." Beau glared at Trad and said, "What I told you still stands. I don't even want you breathing the same air as her, let alone taking care of her. She needs me, not you. So don't tell me what I should and shouldn't do for my wife. After all, I should knock your teeth in for what you did to her." Trad said, "M-Must we b-be so violent I was only trying to h-help the situ-situation." Beau said, "If you were able to help the situation, Carls would've asked you to come in and help her, so clearly it's something you can't help." Trad said, "What does that senile old man know anyways?! He shouldn't be in charge of the house, let alone be in charge of taking care of Marigold. He didn't even tell me there was a problem! You shouldn't trust someone like that. You should just let me handle him and her." Beau cracked his (Beau's) neck and said, "If I wanted you to help, I would have asked you to help. So shut up, and mind your own business." Trad showed Beau the red mark on his face and said, "Look what the old man did. He's so delusional that he hit me without reason! Y-You shouldn't trust a m-man who would attack without cause! Carls doesn't know what he's doing. He's old and crazy!" Beau rolled his eyes and finally found the house key in his pocket. Beau opened the front door, going inside, while saying, "I don't have time for you."

Beau closed the door behind him, saw Carls holding a first aid-kit in his hand, and walked over to him while saying, "What's the problem, and why are you holding a first aid-kit?" Carls said, "Master Beau, you need to come with me." Beau said, "First, you need to tell me what the problem is. What happened to Marigold? Did she cut herself or something? Is she having a hard time adjusting? Does she want me to open the gate so she can go where she pleases?" Carls said, "Miss Marigold needs you. Come with me." Beau followed behind Carls while Carls said, "I know that today had been a rough day for everyone, but the actions that took place tonight can not happen again." Beau said, "What actions? What's going on?" Carls said, "Miss Marigold will barely speak to me, but the little that she said horrified me." Beau's heart started to race, and he thought, 'What did my father do to her? What could she have said to horrify Carls?' Beau swallowed his breath, and Carls said, "To hear what Trad did to her is completely unacceptable. Trad is bigger and stronger than she is, and she hasn't done anything to hurt anyone." Beau thought, 'Trad must've done a lot more to her this morning than I thought. I knew I should've knocked his teeth in.' Carls said, "It's horrific seeing what he did," and Beau's heart sunk to his stomach as he (Beau) looked at Carls thinking, 'He hurt her so bad that he left a mark on her, I'm gonna hurt him.' Carls said, "And that fact that he mocked her in front of me after the ordeal I could not control my anger, I had to knock him to the floor. He enraged me. He hurt Miss Marigold to the point where I couldn't control my anger and then locked her in a closet. I had to threaten him with legal action if he didn't let her out." Beau's eyes widened, and he thought, 'What did he say?' Beau and Carls stood in front of the guest bedroom door, and Carls said, "I tried to clean her up as best as I could, but it's bad." Beau said, "I can't believe Trad locked her in a closet, I'll kill him! I mean, I knew Trad dragged her into the house this morning, but I didn't realize he hurt her that badly. I never thought he actually bruised her I-" Carls interrupted Beau, saying, "Master Beau… I'm not talking about this morning." Beau grabbed Carls shoulders and said, "Then what are you talking about?! Are you saying he hurt her after I left?!" Carls said, "I tried to clean her up as best as I could. He attacked her badly to a horrific point." Beau's face turned pale and his ears began to ring, Beau stuttered, "H-He a-attacked Marigold." Carls said, "She's scared and badly injured Master Beau, and I've already informed your parents of what happened tonight." Beau ignored Carls only hearing the ringing in his ears, thinking, 'He attacked Marigold, he attacked Marigold, I'm going to kill him.' Beau swung open the door to the guest bedroom, seeing Marigold sitting on a chair looking down, leaning forward. Her long hair covered her face, hiding her bruises. Beau rushed over to her and kneeled, seeing her cover her face and sob into her hands. Beau thought, 'He attacked my Marigold, he attacked her, he attacked my wife.' He grabbed her hands and tried moving them away from her face while she resisted crying, "Let me go." He ignored her, pulling her hands away from her face. He looked at the back of her hands, seeing scrapes covering them, and began examining her lower arms seeing bruises and scrapes all over them. He started breathing heavily and grinded his teeth. He looked up at her to see red marks on her chest and neck that were covered by her hair. He began shaking and pulled her hair back, revealing more scrapes and bruises on her body. His veins began popping out his temple, and he clenched his jaw as tears rolled down Marigold's cheeks onto the floor. He looked at her face, seeing her black eye, swelling, and bloody lip. He stood up, grabbed her face, and pushed her tear soaked hair from in front of her face, showing off all the bruises and scrapes left by Trad. He thought, 'He attacked her, he attacked my wife,' and said, "What happened?" Tears filled Marigold's eyes, and Beau shouted, "What happened?" Carls said, "Master Beau, you must-'' Beau interrupted Carls shouting, "Why didn't you call the police?!" Carls said, "She begged me not to," and Beau shouted, "Look at what he did to her! Look at how badly he hurt her! How could you not call the police?! He hurt her! I'm going to knock his teeth in!" Beau stormed out of the room while Carls called for him to come back. Beau ignored Carls thinking, 'Trad is a dead man! He touched my wife! He could've killed her! I won't let him get away with this.'

Beau stormed outside and walked up to Trad, who was still standing in the same spot Beau left him. Trad jumped in his skin, and Beau looked down, saying, "I want you to tell me what happened between you and my wife." Trad said, "What do you mean? Did something happen to her?" Beau balled his fists while saying, "What did you do to my wife?" Trad said, "Look Beau, whatever happened to Marigold, I didn't do it! It was probably that old man in there! I mean, just look at what he did to me. He's crazy! He probably hurt Marigold and is blaming it on me because he knows you hate me. Honestly, you should just fire him. He's a danger to everyone. He's a danger to himself, and if he's willing to hurt a poor girl like Marigold, then he's capable of anything!" Beau punched the house with the side of his fist, breaking off some of the gray stone, shouting, "I'm only going to ask you this question one last time, Trad! Don't play games with me! What did you do to my wife?!" Trad looked at the stone from the house that sat on the ground from Beau's punch, looked back at Beau, and said while smirking, "You know what it was me. I hurt your precious Marigold, but it's not like it matters anyway. When are you going to wake up and realize that she's nothing more than a piece of property?! I mean, think about it! Your father bought her for 10 million dollars. Her father just sold her, which means nobody is looking for her. You can do whatever you want with her and nobody will care because nobody is looking for her. You and I are men, and I know you know how lucky you are to have such a beautiful wife like her. So what if I gave her a few bruises they'll clear up, and I'm sure her sweet lips will feel the same as they did tonight." Beau's face turned red from anger, and he said, "You kissed my wife?" Trad said, "I couldn't just pass up the opportunity. She's just too beautiful. I had to take the chance. Now I promise I won't do it again but I have to say I am jealous of you having a woman like that. I mean, she's perfect, and she's weak. She's pretty much the perfect woman. Beat her in line and do whatever you want! You have it, great Beau, just great."

Beau punched Trad across the face, knocking one of his teeth out. Trad spit his tooth out on the ground, blood dripping from his mouth, and Beau punched him (Trad) in the face, knocking out another tooth, and knocking him (Trad) to the ground. Beau stood over Trad, punching him (Trad) continuously in the face, shouting, "I told you not to breathe the same air as her, and you dare put your hands on her?! I'm going to make you pay for every bruise you left on her." Carls heard the commotion outside and ran out the home shouting, "Master Beau," but Beau ignored him, continuing to punch Trad in his face. Carls ran over to Beau, trying to pull him off of Trad, while shouting, "That's enough Master Beau, you'll kill him!" He stopped punching Trad, looked at Carls, and shouted, "Why aren't you in the house taking care of my wife?" Carls said, "Master Beau, I could hear you from all the way inside, and it's a good thing I came out when I did. If you kept on, you would have killed him." Beau said, "Mind your own business Carls and go take care of my wife!" Carls said, "Master Beau, I know you're angry, and rightfully so, but look at what you're doing. You are not a killer, Master Beau." Beau looked at the back of his hands to see they were covered in Trad's blood. Beau looked down at Trad, seeing him laying on his back with a bloody mouth, bruises all over his face, two black eyes, and a fat lip. Beau looked at Carls, and Carls said, "Master Beau, Marigold has been through enough, and the last thing she needs right now is to see you get taken away for defending her. Trad got what he deserved now. You must stop before you take things too far." Beau's heart rate slowed down, and he thought, 'Carls is right, I need to control my anger, and I need to be there for Marigold! No matter how much I hate this coward for what he did to her, I have to be there for Marigold and stop before it goes too far.' Beau walked over to Trad, pulled him (Trad) up to his (Beau's) face by his (Trad's) collar, and said, "You're lucky Carls was here to save you and you're lucky Marigold doesn't want the police involved. You're all talk but can't even defend yourself. You make me sick, Trad. You messed with the wrong woman, Trad, and I told you not to touch my wife." Trad whined, "You- You're going to lose your company for this one," and Beau said, "I'm not going to lose anything but you, you're going to lose this job because you're fired." Trad said, "Wh-What au-authority," and Beau interrupted him, saying, "You know you truly are an idiot. Do you think you have any say? Do you think you have any power after what you did to my wife? Hpmh, you're lucky I didn't break your legs, and you have most of your teeth. You touched the one who has my heart and thinks there's no repercussions? You truly are delusional. I as the heir to The Bax Company have every right and authority to fire you especially after what you did and you are lucky that, this is all you get and that you're not going to have to drink your meals through a straw from now on. So before you open your mouth again, just remember I let you keep the majority of your teeth, but I can still take more without hesitation." Beau threw Trad to the ground and said, "Get out of here now, and if I ever see you on my premises or even around my wife again, I'll shatter your knee caps. Now pick up your teeth and get out." Beau stormed back into the house while Trad shouted, "This isn't over Beau, I'm going to have your company and your wife!" Carls said, "Shut up and leave before you lose another fight. Walk away while you still have some dignity left." Trads grumbled while leaving the premises while Carls watched him.

After Trad left, Carls sighed and went back inside to finish tending to Marigold's wounds.
