Atsuku stood in front of the gate with Misaki beside her. The house was fully reinforced, with men holding machine guns and rifles peeking from the two-meter wall, ready to shoot anything that came close by.
The street was empty and silent, with only the police sirens blaring in the distance, asking the civilians to hide and protect themselves in a safe place.
Even in the cold, snow-filled area, the rising tension caused the air to feel warmer. The men were afraid. Their focus was in the sky, at the top countdown that slowly went to zero.
Time felt longer. They felt like five minutes had already passed, but in reality, only a minute had passed since Misaki gave out a command. There were still four minutes left until the sky fully opened.
As the Fujiwara siblings stood side by side, Misaki suddenly spoke in a low voice.
"Before it started, is there something you want to tell me?"
