Looking at her, he asked, "What exactly did you steal from Leonard King? What did he do to you, and where have you been these past few months?"
Leonard King seems to be a significant figure, as Wayne Jennings seemed to be fearful when mentioning him.
She's in a difficult situation; a single moment of carelessness might expose her identity. She pursed her lips and said, "It's a long story, and I don't want to recall what I've been through these past few months."
But if she doesn't talk about it, how can she find out more?
Yvonne Young frowned worriedly, and Wayne Jennings suddenly hugged her, "Baby, don't be afraid, I'll be here for you from now on. I will protect you, as long as you listen to me."
As he spoke, his palm gently stroked the back of Yvonne Young's head.
