The bartender left them alone in a place where it wasn't crowded or crooked. It was a room where the guild master used to meet his valued customers, like a reception fall for them.
"If you need a call, please press this button. We will aid you in everything that you do." The bartender said as he turned around and gave Rachelle a button to press. "The master will meet you shortly. Enjoy." The bartender added, smiling as he bowed his head and left the room, closing the door.
The room was neat and very unlikely to what she envisioned it would be. She thought that the room where they were about to meet the guild master might be full of clutter such as gold, books, papers, and anything scattered all across the room.
But what she perceived right now was a neat room with a table in front and a couch for the visitors to sit on. The small cabinet filled with books is placed in the corner, neat with no cobwebs attached.
Overall, it was a little bit dark and quite scary. The light was only focused on the center, a small chandelier made of candles is enough to light the room above the comfort level. But who is she to complain about this?
"Should we just go back, My Lady?" Olivia asked as she stood behind her while Rachelle took a seat on the couch prepared. The mattress is soft and not hard, comfortable to take a sit and not too soft for her to sink deep on the couch.
"We're already here, why should we go back?" Rachelle asked as he pulled Olivia's hand to sit with her. Since her identity was safe from the bartender, she removed the robe that she wore since it was getting stuffy.
"Please, Mistress... Don't remove it." Olivia retorted as she tried to make Rachelle wear it once again. It'll be quite unusual if the guild master knew her identity, he might spill the beans later on.
"Calm down. I guess every identity coming inside remains anonymous or hidden. You don't have to worry about it. If you feel uncomfortable then just wear your robe, you don't have to take it off." Rachelle replied as she took it off completely out of her.
"Mistress! Oh my god, I'm getting a headache—"
"Pardon me for being late, I was busy handling many affairs. I apologize for my actions." Someone just barged inside the room, making both Olivia and Rachelle stop bickering and look at the person behind him.
The man stood tall on the door, his hair dark as the night sky and his brown eyes struck interest in Rachelle. He was wearing a mask to hide his face and the only thing that was visible in her eyes were his brown eyes.
"I greet the guild master." Rachelle greeted as she stood up and bowed his head, acknowledging his presence while Olivia did the same. "It's fine, don't fret about it." She added, referring to him apologizing for being late.
"I see..." There was a sudden pause in his voice that made Rachelle a bit confused. He just remained there standing there, looking at them. She couldn't figure out the emotions as he had blocked his face entirely for her to study the case and read his emotions.
"Ah, for what do I owe you my service, Madame?" The guild master asked in a polite manner, closing the door behind him, entering inside, and walking around an eggshell as he went to the chair behind the table in front of the two of them.
"I need your help. You see, I have someone who is very nasty and arrogant, asking me for money to borrow. But since I am a good person, I am willing to let that person borrow my money from me." She answered, straight to the point.
"I want counterfeit money, around 500,000 golds if possible. So that person will fall into my goodwill." She added, smiling towards the guild master who was looking straight into her eyes.
Her smile was something else, a sinister smile flashed across her lips while her eyes squinted in an evil look, she was exuding an aura of a manipulator, a puppeteer of great control over her marionettes.
A smirk broke into the man's face. Behind the mask, he was smirking as he enjoyed the lady's malicious intent, sparking interest in her. This lady is something else, it's making his interest grow even more for her.
"I could do that yes, it's an easy task." He answered with an assertive tone, confident. "But my service isn't cheap, My Lady. It's expensive—"
"Will this suffice?" She asked as she threw a bag pouch, containing thousands of golds, even the coins scattered on the table after she threw it like the weight didn't bother her at all.
The guild master's eyes fell on the gold pouch, his hand slowly crawling on the gold, checking the amount if it would suffice. He took a glance at Rachelle who was still smirking, it was as if it wasn't a big deal at all.
The guild master sighs and lets out a grin, accepting the offer immediately while he pushes away the gold pouch at the side. "Well then, an easy task for the beautiful lady wearing men's wear. When do you need the money?" The guild master asked, looking at Rachelle earnestly and amused with her personality.
"Is it possible if I need it today?" She asked, hoping that the money would be handed over to her right now so that she could plan what to do tomorrow.
"Oh dear, that's impossible. But I could hand it in tonight, just give me your address and I will deliver the money tonight." The guild master said, making Rachelle's face distorted in disappointment.
"I see... well then, but how can I trust you that you will not play with me? I paid you after all and you might take my money without doing my request." She asked, suspicious about it that made the guild master laugh.
Earlier she was so proud of making this deal flow smoothly, but now she's being suspicious and doubtful of them.
"The guild is loyal towards its customers, we have a policy here after all, so you don't have to doubt him because we will definitely deliver it successfully. Do you want it to be discreet or to be known?" The guild master asked, chuckling.
"In discrete, please. My maid will accept the money." She added as she looked at Olivia with a smile. Olivia frowned as she didn't expect this to happen, she wasn't briefed about this, so why must she give the address?
"Alright, please write it here." The guild master asked nicely as he gave them a piece of paper and a pen to write the address. Olivia was hesitant at first in accepting it from the guild master but if it wasn't for Rachelle's cold stare, she wouldn't have accepted it.
"Is there anything else that I can do for you?" The guild master asked as he swiftly changed the course of his gaze towards Rachelle who was watching Olivia writing their address.
"Hm... Oh yes, can I acquire some noble position or a rank? Preferably a Viscountess position." She asked, making the Guild master act surprised with her request. Isn't she a noble already? Why would she ask for a nobility rank?
"That is possible but my Lady, aren't you already a noble? For what do you need the position? The Law of this country prohibited someone from owning more than one nobility position." The man asked Rachelle.
"An investment that I will give to a friend of mine. I would like to purchase a title for her to show how grateful I am for her partnership with me." She answered the guild master and threw another pouch of gold, containing more gold than the first pouch she threw at the man.
"Could you please stop throwing your gold at me?" He asked, annoyed at her behaviour. Rachelle just grinned at him, she likes flexing the amount of money that she has right now.
It especially shows how powerful she is in terms of financial life.
"I like flaunting wealth, so I can't." She answered while she folded her leg, putting it on the top of her other leg while her arms spread on the corner of the couch.
She looks like an arrogant fool but strikingly beautiful under the candlelight. It was rude to do it in front of the guild master but the guild master just looked at her and stayed silent despite how she was blasting off her boastful behaviour.
"Hm, you're right. I too, like to boast my wealth. Isn't it satisfying?" The guild master answered, chuckling once more as he was having fun conversing with the lady who was full of surprises.
"I know."
Olivia passed the paper containing their address, she even gave it a detail where to meet her in order to avoid suspicion from her co-workers. She's just trying to be safe and away from getting fired.
"Alright... But I need the person to sign the papers so that we can register that person as a noble." The guild master requested, going back to the topic before they indulged themselves in another topic.
Which seems to be not part of her plan.
