Chereads / The Saintess Is A Villainess / Chapter 58 - ACTING LIKE A CHILD

Chapter 58 - ACTING LIKE A CHILD

It was already near evening when the carriage stopped right in front of the household's door. With the chauffeur opening the carriage door, Rachelle stepped out of the carriage, wearing the dress that she wore earlier just right after they left.

"Well, it was a fun adventure. Don't you think so, Olivia?" Rachelle asked as she turned around to have her maid who followed her from behind, couldn't even paint her face as she looked terrible and in discomfort.

Rachelle chuckled, she didn't like their little adventure, seemed like it.

"Mistress... I don't want to go back to that scary place—Your Highness..." Olivia mumbled as she bowed her head, seeing the Crown Prince making his way to Felicia with a grinning face, sulky and perplexed.

As the mention of the Crown Prince, Rachelle immediately frowned and turned around, only to meet the Crown Prince's eyes, looking directly into hers. The frown on his face was replaced by a cold expression flashing in his eyes, seemingly feeling like he was uncomfortable with her.

"Your Highness." She greeted, did the proper greeting for him and bowed her head. She hates to bow her head to this fool, but what can she do when she's just a princess from a Duke's house?

"Felicia..." He uttered, making Rachelle's eyebrows twitch as she looked up to find him staring at her once more. It's making her feel very weird as she just caught him staring at her for so long.

"Yes?" She asked, trying to sound polite despite the weirdness that she felt. She straightened her back while waiting for him to berate her once more, as always like how he used to do towards her.

"I'm losing my mind here. Can you please stop trying to throw your tantrum towards Helena? It's pissing me off that you're always picking on her despite her not doing anything to you." He said and sighed, looking so defeated.

Rachelle raised her eyebrows, in disbelief with the words that left his mouth. So that brat wrote a letter to the Crown Prince, to come here for her to talk shit about her? To nitpick her and accuse her once again?

Can she stop doing this already? She's tired of playing charades with her already.

"What do you mean, Your Highness? Could it be that I am being accused once more of things that I didn't do?" She asked, her eyebrows knitted, eyes squinting in annoyance as she folded her arms to show she didn't like what that brat did once more.

"No, no... It's not like that, Felicia. It's just that, why can't you just be friendly with her and be cordial? She's trying her best to become your sister but here you are acting like a grumpy old woman. You need to stop acting like a child, Felicia." He retorted, arguing.

Rachelle felt very offended. She's acting like a child? Since when?

She couldn't help but let out a chuckle and then burst into laughter. This man, he's having an affair with his mistress acting like a damn child. And she got blamed for it? He really is something else!

"Since when was I acting like a child, your Highness?" She asked, wanting to hit the Crown Prince if she could. It would be a serious offence if she were to hit the Crown Prince and might end up in prison for hurting a royal member.

Silence fell in as Constantine couldn't answer her question. Was she even acting like a child? During his visits, she wasn't acting like one. She was more elegant, more mature, and more confident than anyone else.

She eases everything—a strong woman who doesn't need anyone to back her up. She was able to build her solid foundation through her extraordinary behaviour and personality.

Seeing that he wasn't able to look for words to answer her, she let out a sigh. This is beyond tomfoolery. He couldn't even defend his claim.

"What you said was very offending." She decided to cut off the silence between them, looking at him coldly, staring at him with her dead eyes. "I'm much more offended with what you said rather than being upset that you visited someone else in your fiancé's house."

"Wait, Felicia... I didn't mean what I said—"

"Why don't you tell your lovely friend then? She better stop acting like a child and grow up. She's about to reach adulthood yet she remains like an uneducated child. Is that the person you wish to love, your Highness? Someone who acts as if she was stuck behind the years of growing up?" She asked, sarcasm present in her tone while eyeing him from head to toe.

"Hmph. I can't believe a royal person like you has such low standards that even beggars from the slums could pick better lovers than you. You two suit each other, what a pair of lovely clowns." She chuckled, ended up mocking him and started to walk passed by him, intentionally nudging him by his shoulder.

Olivia who witnessed everything had her mouth gaping, oh dear lord heavens! Her mistress just talked back towards the royal heir and heard everything! She was gaping wide, amazed at how confident her mistress was but at the same time, had too much information to grasp.

"Felicia!" Constantine yelled as he walked, striding towards Felicia grabbed her by her wrist and pulled her closer, glaring at her for hurting his heart like that. How could she say that to him? He's her fiancee for God's sake!

"What do you need, Your Highness? I'm patiently waiting because I have to go and prepare for dinner. I don't want to waste any more time talking nonsense with you." She groaned, glaring at him as she tried to pull her hand away from him.

But she could never due to how strong his grip was around her wrist that she just gave up and looked at him dead in the eyes.

"What are you so mad about? I just told you that you need to stop treating Helena as if she is not your sister! There's no harm done with that! I am only encouraging you to become the better sister for her in order for her to fit and smile every day! Can't you just understand and support me?" He asked, frowning as if he were asking for an explanation.

She chuckled, "You treat her as if she's your fiancee. Why not make her yours then? Isn't that a great deal?" She asked back, rolling her eyes. "And may I remind you, your Highness. You have no part in this family's troubles, nor act like you're some knight in shining Armor because right now? You look like a pathetic man begging for your actual fiancee to make peace with his lover. How insulting, Your Highness." She mocks him once again.

Every word hit him as if getting stabbed multiple times. Every word made his face grow darker and darker, it's as if the heavens above and the earth below crushed him like a sandwich. Each felt like thorns pricking his heart.

He was getting angry with her insults and how she treated him like nobody. How she talks to him informally like they're some friends. But at the same time, her fierceness made her even look more stunning in his eyes despite his anger burning inside him.

"You have no right to tell me that I have a low standard! You do not have the right to insult me as your future husband! You may act like you don't want this to happen, but I will make it happen. Mark my words, you'll eventually become my woman!" He yelled at her as he let go of her hand—more like he threw it and walked away, fuming madly.

Rachelle just frowned, her brows furrowed as he couldn't understand what that man meant. At some point, he would insult her, mock her, and blame her for Helena's misery. But later on, he would claim that he will marry her and she can't do anything about it.

What a douchebag!

"What a brat." She mumbled, irritated as she turned her back and started to walk back inside, filled with anger that was ready to burst if someone triggered her. That damn Crown Prince is making her feel disdain towards him.

"Mistress... That was the most juiciest tea that I had ever heard." Olivia followed from her behind, whispering in her ear as they went back to her room for Rachelle to get some rest.

She's been drained since this early morning and was even more drained with their exchange banter with that Crown Prince. Oh how exciting it is to watch how the drama unfolds.

And to think that the lady Helena is in this relationship, it's even more spicy than most romance novels she had ever read whenever she had the time to read.

"Don't talk about it. I'm done with it and I don't want to hear a single word from you. Just keep your mouth shut and not speak it towards anyone or you will be facing my fury." She mumbled, her tone vexed, marching her way towards her room.

Well that made Olivia shut her mouth and decide to follow her Mistress instead, didn't want anything to happen to her especially since she could tell that Felicia was more than infuriated ever.
