"Seems like you have a death wish. Do you wish to see yourself lying on the floor covered with blood as well? Don't worry I will make it painless for you." Rachelle whispered menacingly into Olivia's ear as she held her by her mouth.
Olivia turned pale from her dangerous words and shrugged her head, shivering in fear because of how her aura changed into something terrifying. She could feel her knees getting weak just by listening to her words, observing her actions and watching the man's dead body.
"Hm? You don't want to? Then promise me that you'll become a good girl and keep your mouth shut if I let you go. That's quite easy, yes?" Rachelle continued to threaten Olivia, letting out a chuckle that made Olivia fear her even more.
It's as if she had met someone much worse than the devil incarnate himself.
She quickly nodded her head in response. She didn't wish to die early, she didn't want to die in her hands. "Good girl." Rachelle praised Olivia for being a good girl as she slowly released her hands from Olivia's mouth and waist.
"Alright... I called you here because I need your help. We need to throw his body somewhere." She said, walking in front of Olivia and occasionally took a glance at the dead body and went back to Olivia.
She could tell that the young girl was scared, it was evident in her face. Her eyes shaking, her unstable breath, and her eyes twinkling in panic. Rachelle could even tell that right now, she could feel her stomach rumbling, churning in disgust and terror.
"W-what happened...?" That's the only word that she uttered after a long duration of staring at the man's dead body, baffled, and disturbed at the gruesome and violent wound inflicted on the man's body.
"An assassin sent to kill me while I was sleeping. Good thing I managed to catch on and killed him by myself. I can't find any clues about the person who sent him to me and he wouldn't even dare to spill who on earth paid a thousand gold to kill me." She said and didn't bother to filter her words.
At this point, she could say that she's being an asshole, letting this young woman see something cruel right in front of her and taint her innocence in this world. The only thing that she considered a good thing is that at least she didn't filter her actions towards her.
"W-who would do such a thing..." Olivia panic. Her system was all over the room. Due to her shaky legs, her knees finally gave up as she fell on the floor, still in horror. Her mistress didn't even flinch nor feel sympathetic over the man.
She's a cold-blooded woman who wouldn't even shed tears or apologize and feel guilty about it. Instead, she just stared at her, mocking her for being a weakling. She didn't say it but her eyes showed otherwise, condescending to her with her looks.
"W-where should we hide the body?" She asked, trying to calm herself down and forcing herself to stand up despite still feeling frightened. It's as if, all of her anger towards Rachelle has vanished at this point.
She doesn't hesitate to kill someone after all.
"Hide? Why would we hide her?" She asked, smirking at Olivia who began to feel threatened but confused. "Master... We ought to hide his body before anyone has already figured out that you killed him... You will put your name in jeopardy if you don't! What if someone witnessed you?!" She couldn't help but raise her voice but in a meek tone, glaring at Rachelle for acting indifferent.
"Someone already saw me anyway. I couldn't care less if that person spills the beans towards the Duke. Might as well get him to remove me from this hell hole." Rachelle responded with careless behaviour.
"WHAT?!" She exclaimed, couldn't believe what Felicia told her. She could feel her mind swirling in panic and almost made herself lose her balance at how she acted as if she didn't care at all that she committed a crime and there was a witness!
"Please... Master... I don't want to get in trouble... We need to hide the body, right now!" She asked—no, pleading with Felicia to just bury the body in order to hide the remains of the assailant that almost killed her master.
But Felicia just stared at her apathetically and scoffed as if she heard a joke coming from Olivia. This damn woman, she won't treat it as if it's something serious! Can't she see that she's very anxious right now for her sake?!
"We won't do that. Instead, why not deliver it to someone else's window? It'll be fun witnessing horror." She said, her face distorted into a maniac expression, smiling like a psycho while looking at Olivia who cowered in fear once again.
"W-what do you mean?" She asked, stuttering her own words while backing away from the most dangerous person she had ever met. It's as if the image of her master being weak and stupid in her eyes started to disappear, being replaced by a psychopath version.
"Let's say, for example, sending this dead body towards the Duchess' balcony. It would cause quiet commotion and even better if I could hear that woman's screeching screams of horror." She said, grinning ear to ear.
Olivia then concluded that this woman was far from being a normal lady.
"What if everyone would figure out that it's you?" She asked, slightly feeling better as if the dead body had been adopted by her head and that it was nothing to fear. What she has to be careful with is offending Felicia in any possible way.
"Don't worry. They won't. I have a hunch that it was them who sent the assassin to kill me. It couldn't be the Duke or Alexander. I guess that it's either the butler or the Duchess." She said sighing as she combed her hair, looking away.
That action alone made her stand out despite the darkness of the room, only occupied by the moonlight.
Seeing that Olivia didn't utter any words at all and just fell into silence, she just smiled at her. "I'll take your silence as a yes. Let's go and wrap this bad boy up and throw his body at the Duchess' door." She said, grabbing her bedsheet and starting to wrap it around the man's body.
They wouldn't even know about the sheets since every room has the same colour of sheet, which is white. Now is the time to play a little prank towards the Duchess and watch how everyone will talk about it.
She let out a laugh of horror while Olivia flinched at her behaviour, working with effort to not get on Felicia's bad side. She doesn't want to end up like this man's ending.
—
Morning came and Rachelle was woken up with screams echoing across the manor. It was so loud that it attracted everyone's attention. She blinked her eyes, still not in her right mind despite getting woken up by the screams echoing across the room.
It was a loud commotion and at first, she thought as to why everyone was panicking and causing such distress. Until her mind reminded her of what she and Olivia had done earlier, planting the man's dead body in the Duchess' room.
Her eyes went wide open, wrapped the blanket across her body and ran out, wanting to see the woman's reaction. She rushed towards the woman's room, only to find a lot of servants flooding the room.
She managed to make her way inside the Duchess' room, only to find her crying in the Duke's arms while comforting Helena who was also crying because of the sight, wrapped around the Duchess' protective arms.
Male servants approached the dead man's body, analysing the situation as to how it ended inside the Duchess' room. A little note was found inside the body and they immediately gave it to the Duke to read.
Oh... The note... She remembered that she also included writing a note to scare the Duchess. Seems like it's working well.
She has to maintain her facade, acting scared while looking at the dead body that she mercilessly killed last night. Oh how satisfying it was to look at the Duchess, shaking in fear and anger.
It was definitely worth watching.
Suddenly a man's arm wrapped around her, pulling her into a hug which made her eyes break contact from staring at the Duchess and the Duke's expression on his face.
She was also about to detest the person doing this but it was Alexander, intending to hug her as he stared at the man's body in fear. She smirked, It seemed like he was doing his brotherly duties, trying to protect her 'innocence' even though she no longer had them.
"Who would dare do such a thing towards the Duchess..." Servants started to rumble their thoughts, mumbling over the commotion while feeling haunted by the scene. Meanwhile, the real culprit of the crime scene was just smirking while being embraced by the person who decided to act like a brother.
Ahh, what a good day to start.
