"What happened to your cheek?" Alexander asked as he pushed the door wide open to go inside her room. The emerald room stays the same but everything changes. The warm atmosphere gradually changed into just an ordinary room after his mother disappeared.
Is it just him but the room also changed its temperature?
"What do you mean?" She asked as Felicia unconsciously touched the stinging part of her face where it was damaged but not severely.
"Oh, this? I got this from a scissor. I was cutting my hair and unexpectedly, I accidentally hit my cheek." She lied smoothly like a race car driver.
"That's stupid. Who on earth would cut their own hair when they can just call someone to do it for them?" Alexander said and scoffed at her, looking at her while with a small teasing grin on his lips.
"I was bored. I can't do anything in here." She just murmured. What's with this guy insulting her? But it wasn't that strong anyway, he was just teasing her. She's not that mad at all. Is she?
"You should really eat more than what you eat today. You're very light, I can't even tell the difference between you and a feather. Even my pet is heavier than you." Alexander said as he gently laid her body on her bed, gentle as he could ever be.
"Is that a mock? You know that I'm like this because of everyone, right? Including you?" She answered him, brimming with annoyance because of how he compared her to his pet or something. It felt like an insult towards her and she didn't like it.
"I'm not insulting you. Do you always rub salt on everything I say?" He asked, flabbergasted by her claim while feeling down and sad. When he heard those words, it felt like thousands of pins punctured his heart at the same time.
"Yes. If it's very insulting." She answered honestly. "You can go now, thank you for your help. It meant a lot." She added coldly, wanting for him to go out of her room and drop the act of being a sweet sister to her.
"Hey, I'm sorry for what I said to you. Really didn't mean it... I'm sorry." He said sincerely. His hand then crawled into her skin, caressing her cheek while looking at her with a saddened expression, guilty as charged.
Yet Rachelle remained stoic and composed. The apology he gave is not enough to cover all of the tricks inside their bones. Her grudge is far deeper than the depth of his apology.
"You know, you really can't undo things you've done but anyways, thanks." She responded very informally. She's also tired of being formal, it's as if it's not her real character to be formal at all.
Alexander went speechless. What she said is true and he would be shameless if he forced her things that were uncomfortable to her. Perhaps, she'll find a way for her to forgive him and he will continue to express how much guilty he was for putting her in that rough situation.
She came from a country that is filled with anger-headed people who would always shout whenever there was a tiny problem they encountered. It's been adapted by her system but has partially forgotten about her own accent and language from that world.
'Wait... I'm also forgetting a lot about that world. It's as if all of my memories there are being wiped.' She thought to herself, sighing. She could've written it in a journal but did she write such a thing? Probably not.
"Right..." He muttered, sighing as he turned his back. But suddenly, he was momentarily disturbed by an awful smell coming from the room. The stench was so disgusting that he couldn't help but barf about the weird smell across the whole room.
"What's the matter?" Felicia asked, looking at him with certain worry in her eyes. He tried to smell it once again, trying to figure out where the smell was coming from but he couldn't comprehend where it was since the odor already spread across the room.
"It smells funny here. Like a carcass meat left to spoil." Alexander stated, his nose twitching as he covered his nose because of the stench that he could smell from this room. It's disgusting!
"What? I don't think such a thing is inside here. I can't even smell anything." Felicia responded, looking all confused and curious. The truth is that she could smell the odor from the dried blood on the carpet but she had been trying to act calmly about it.
Her heart once pounded inside her after he smelled it. Thank Goddess that she was able to control her facial expression before it could ruin everything.
"Really? I can smell something but maybe it's just something else." Alexander replied, trying to disregard the eerie scent of dried meat inside this room. He sighed, god it smelled so disgusting but he didn't want her to be angry at him once again so he turned his face to her once again, to see her.
"Rest well, there would be no classes as of now because of what happened. If you need something you can call your maid. Eat a lot, Felicia." Alexander murmured and left her room with a heavy heart and sunken shoulders.
Would there be such a time when she will eventually forgive him?
Just as Alexander had left the room, Olivia went printing towards her, crying and sobbing which made Rachelle frown. Why is she crying?
"What happened?" She asked, looking at Olivia who was still crying like a banshee, wailing like a child while kneeling on the floor. Her tears flooded her eyes as the sobs escaped from the ripples of her lips were loud and clear.
"I-I really thought that we would be imprisoned for killing that man... I really thought we were going to jail and they're going to sell me! Master! You made me so anxious and scared!" She cried.
"The Young master was able to smell the stench! I would be so dead if he figured it out! I don't want to be imprisoned!" She even added, crying like a drama queen over a minor issue that isn't worthy to worry about.
"Calm down. That person won't be able to smell the crap from this room. I really thought we already cleaned it but he was able to smell the blood." She said and let out a small sigh, expressing how anxious she also was which made her heart leapt out of her ribcage.
She swore that she was about to get a heart attack after he found out the stench. "Just call someone and have the room clean and spotless. We don't want anyone to suspect once again about the stench." She added as she stood up from her bed and went to the bathroom to freshen up.
She didn't wait for Olivia to answer and just locked the door for her to have her time. Ah, the fact that all of them were together was satisfying, especially Helena who was crying in misery.
That brat, despite her age still acts like a damn child. Is that how she was able to seduce everyone? By acting all so cutesy and spoiled that literally everyone was in her claws? How pathetic.
This novel is messed up. To think just because of a child's play, Felicia suffered through a lot. She has the very right reason to end up as a more powerful villain rather than the book's version of being a villain.
That shit is so cringe, to be honest.

"Milady, the Duke has called for you to join them for breakfast," Olivia reported that she stopped cleaning together with a female servant behind her back. She had just gotten out of the bathroom with only her bathrobe on.
"I see. I also have a few words about him." She said and looked at the maid who was behind Olivia. "Fetch me a comfortable dress please, then Olivia can you contact Yulie Rajeh again? I need a new set of clothes for this season." She ordered the two of them as she sat in front of her vanity mirror.
"But with all due respect, My Lady, it's not the end of the season yet and we have already filled your wardrobe with summer season dresses based on your comfort." The maid stuttered, afraid that she'd offend Rachelle with her words.
Even Olivia had to shush her before all of them could see her demon so early this morning. she had already destroyed the butler, she could destroy the two of them with just a flick of her fingers.
"It's new clothes, don't worry," Rachelle answered the woman who was obviously scared of her. "Please make it hurry. We don't want the Duke shouting at me for being late, wouldn't we?" She added, chuckling to herself while maintaining proper order.
It'll be a quiet and solemn breakfast after all, without the Duchess for a month. Everything will be quiet unless Helena wants to start trouble once more, she will counter it easily.
'How does it feel, Helena? To get robbed of their attention and with no one else to vent on? Poor little baby who depends on mommy.' she thought to herself, smirking while watching her reflection of evilness in front of the mirror.
