After Cale and Reyna finished talking, the three of them left the room and went out front so Reyna could rest. They were sitting at the table drinking their coffee.
"Can we really believe what she said?" Perez asked. "It doesn't seem like you to take her word for it so easily," he said, looking at Cale.
"Don't worry, I've confirmed that she's trustworthy, she won't betray us."
Cale couldn't say that the only reason he took Perez and Reyna with him was to look at their memories. At least not yet. Even Fredrich wouldn't have thought to say it if he hadn't found it on his own.
"Okay, you're the boss," he said with a sigh, taking a sip of his coffee.
"Cale."
When Fredrich addressed Cale, he had an uneasy and mortified look on his face. "Aren't you going to ask what happened?" he said, pointing to his elven appearance.
"Why should I ask what I already know!"
