Micheal kept struggling with the police, telling them he is innocent till they got to the police station. The police then threw him into the cell. Micheal's pov:
I can't believe it , l am behind bars for something l didn't do . I don't have time for this , my daughter is out there waiting for me to come and rescue her. I have explained my situation to the officers but they don't believe me , they thought l was lying. What should l do ?.
On the other hand, in south Korea, the owner of abacus enterprises, Mr Chen, is busy enjoying himself being surrounded by pretty girls. "Mr Chen it's time to take your medicines" his butler informed him. "Thanks to that bastard nephew of mine l have to take BP suppression pills at a prime age"Mr Chen groaned. He took his medicine , then his personal assistant, Martha, came in. "Have you found him?"he asked her. "Yes, sir, he is currently in a police station in Beijing". Martha replied. "Looks like we would have to take a trip back after all" he said.
Charles's pov :
Yesterday was really hectic for me, since l don't make enough money from my books, l had to apply for minimal jobs. I really want to become successful by writing, I've been writing for six years now, l know you are probably thinking ' then just stop writing" . But l believe as long as l keep on writing l will make it. I got up and did my morning routine. I then opened my laptop to update today's chapter. The last chapters had so many views, well that's an improvement. I hope today's chapter will get more views _____Darius and Nichole found an empty cave to hide in for the time being. They were so exhausted and their injuries were yet to heal, if they were just ordinary people,they would have been dead . But they are not, their father came from a long line of sorcerers. They were hungry and Darius saw that his elder sister needs to rest, so he volunteered to look for food. Darius: l'll go look for food, you should stay here and wait for me. Nichole: don't worry l am fine , l can come with you . "No don't, stay here I'll be fine, l'll come back shortly okay" Darius insisted. When she saw his stubbornness she gave up, come to think of it she is too weak to go looking for food. " Okay, but be careful, come back to me safe and sound" she said. "I will" and with that Darius left the cave.
Darius managed to find two bull frogs for them to eat. He brought a few sticks and dry leaves together with him. When he came back , he began to roast them. He seemed to be lost in thought. Nichole knows what's bothering him. She still haven't tell him the truth behind their father's death and the reason why they've been running and hiding for years. " I think it's time l tell him everything" she thought. "Darius" she called him when they were done eating. "I know you have a lot of questions in your mind, all these years , l never told the reason why we've been hiding, but you have never asked me about it, why is that?" She asked him. " I figured you'd tell me when you are ready" he replied. " I never told you anything because l don't want you to harbour hatred and resentment in your heart, l don't want you to be vengeful " she said. "I'm going to tell you everything now" she sighed "but you have to promise me that after this, you won't do anything reckless" she said. " I promise" he said.
Then she began, " our father, Derick and Lord Barcus used to be sworn brothers. They grew up together, studied together and practiced sorcery together. They were the best of friends. Until one day, during one of their treasure hunts, they stumbled upon a thousand year old spirit stone. This spirit stone was one of a kind. Normal spirit stones have limited power with limited abilities. But this particular spirit stone's power is limitless" Darius gasped at these. " Father and Barcus have always dreamed of being the greatest sorcerers in history. So they brought the stone back with them, and started absorbing power from it. And as they wanted, they became powerful and famous for their powerful sorcery skills. Because of the stone's life span, they possessed abilities that no sorcerer in the world possess. But Barcus wanted more, he wanted to be the greatest of the greatests. Father said Barcus started having the idea of becoming immortal when they defeated a hundred thousand year old demon, he said upon knowing the demon's age , Barcus thought that if he could live such a long life, then he will have limitless power and nothing in the world would be his equal. Father tried to talked sense into him, he tried to make him understand that there is no such thing as immortality. Barcus pretended to understood his point so that father could stop pestering him. He began to practice dark magic secretly. Later he found out that soul sucking demons live long by absorbing souls of people and other demons.
He decided to do the same thing. Suddenly, pale lifeless bodies are seen every day in the clan, no one knew the cause.Father suspected that it was soul sucking demons attacking the clan. Not knowing that his best friend was the one responsible for the deaths of their fellow clan members. But later he noticed there was something off with Barcus's energy, at that time mom was pregnant with you .Father went to Barcus and chalanged him in a friendly duel outside the clan, Barcus agreed to the duel. Minutes later into their fight, Barcus became aggressive and used his dark powers. Father pushed him to release more. It was then he saw the soul energy he harnested. Barcus was afraid that father would expose him, so he tried to kill him. But father defeated him. Father told him to give up, then out of anger Barcus released all the energy he had sealed in him, he transformed into a hideous monster. Father then stabbed him in his forehead with his sword and seal the sword there, then he created a barrier between Barcus and the clan, and quickly rush back to the clan to warn everyone. He helped everyone out of the clan. Barcus later broke the barrier and entered the clan . Father then created a very powerful barrier around the clan, sealing the clan completely and locking Barcus inside. All clan members scattered after that, some followed our father to starry falls clan. We lived together for a while. Everyday father could feel the rising power of Barcus, because we left in a hurry, he forgot to take the spirit stone with him. You know what happened next, you just don't know reason behind it. Father left to put an end to Barcus but before he left, he gave us the energy to activate the power of the sword he stabbed into Barcus's forehead, in case he didn't succeed. He said that's the only thing that could kill Barcus. And father never came back again.
Barcus conquered more than thirty clans, and became a feared king. He ordered his men to hunt us because he knows that only us could kill him. I have explained everything to you now" Nichole ended her story. Darius sighed "Barcus must have killed father, that's why he never came back" he said." Possibly" Nichole said. "What do you mean possibly, that's definitely what happened" Darius said." Father and Barcus grew up together, it's possible that he didn't kill him out of the love they have for each other" Nichole said. "They had sis, that love wasn't there anymore when Barcus tried to kill him to cover his secrets " So you think he'd spare father, the master of the sword in his forehead, and go after us his children, when there is a possibility that we can't control the sword. It doesn't make any sense sis" Darius said, while Nichole just sighed. Just then, she faint noises, " Bro, did you hear that" she said, Darius also heightened his senses. They heard footsteps coming towards their direction. "Damn it, they've found us" Nichole exclaimed. "I know you are in there, why don't you just make my work easy for me, and come out and surrender" the red soldiers general said____
Charles's pov:
I think that should be enough for today. I feel like going out, but l don't know why, l feel like l'm being followed everytime l go out. And l noticed that feeling started after l rejected my uncle's proposal. Flashback: "Charles stop being stubborn and accept the money" Mr Chen said. " Just think about it, if stop writing that book , you will get one million". I know my uncle very well, he is not the type that wishes goodness for others. All these years, he neglected me and my mom, he never tried to help us with any thing once. So him coming to me ( because l refused his invitation) in order to stop me from completing godslayer, l figured something was off. And l have sworn a long time ago that l would never take anything from him.
