Charles's pov::
" I know this is kinda weird, but l want to be your friend" Jack said. Again l was surprised, one has ever asked to be my friend before , so l couldn't help but ask him why , why would he want to be my friend. " Because l like you, lie that you are kind and smart, l like your simplicity, I've seen you doing favours without asking for anything in return, l found that remarkable. Although, you don't talk, you are actually a good person." He said, l just kept staring at him, besides my mom, no one has ever talked to me in such a manner. I think l like him too, " so what do you say" ,he looked at me hopefully " okay we can be friends" I want to know how it feels to have a friend, and he has been my best friend since then. End of flashback. "Remembering old times huh" his voice pulled me out of my thoughts. "Yeah" l said with a smile. " Yeah, coming here triggers the memories we shared back in the uni days" he said, l nodded in agreement. Jack: How far are you going with your work. Charles: not so far. Jack: you are still writing. Charles: yes, l am. Jack: Charles you've been writing for six years, and yet , you still haven't make it, why don't you just stop writing, or just do something else while you are at it. Charles: (sighed) l get what you are trying to say, but It is my dream to be a successful writer , and l believe as long as l keep writing l will make it. Jack: (sighed) Charles, haven't you ever thought that, maybe writing is not for you. I looked away, the truth is l have been thinking that way, but l just don't want to give up my dream. Becoming a successful writer has been my dream since my childhood. Charles: l don't want to give up my dream, I'll keep writing. Jack: (sighed) okay then, just know that no matter the decision you make , I'll always support you. I smiled, and mouthed a thank you. We chatted till night fall, such a long chat right? . We said our good byes and went our respective homes.
I found my mom waiting for me in the living room. " Hey, you are back , how was your day" she said as she approached me with a hug. " It was great mom , Jack and I had a good time together". She smiled" l'm glad you had fun, go and freshen up, then come downstairs and have dinner with me". " Wait, mom you haven't eaten " , " when have l had dinner without you?" She said , l smiled , of course, we always have our dinner together.
I woke up in the morning , and felt the sun rays on face, l smiled . I hope l will have great day. I did my morning routine and went downstairs to have breakfast with my mom, after having breakfast mom went to work , she runs a small restaurant at the second street. While l went up stairs to update today's chapter before going to work. I opened my laptop and began write___As Darius was walking through the forest of monsters , he heard a loud growl , he stopped and looked around to see where the noise came from, then a very large wolf like monster jumped out, the monster had four eyes and long sharp canines that grew passed its lower jaw, Darius took a step back, "oh, this should be fun" said the armour . " What do you mean fun, l don't have time for this" Darius shouted, " why don't you try to persuade it to let you go" said the armour, " can it understand me ?", "of course It can understand you, monsters understand all types of languages", Darius gasped at this , " okay let's try it then, hey Mr four eyed wolf , listen l really need to go, l don't have time for this, could you please be generous enough to let me pass in peace" but the wolf growled loudly at him. " I think that's him telling you , hey little two eyed meat, l really have to eat you, it is either you enter my mouth peacefully and willingly or l use force" said the armour, " hey, if you are not gonna help, then just shut up " Darius barked at him, while the armour just laughed. The four eyed wolf growled and jumped at him. But he quickly dogded , the wolf jumped at him again and dodged it again. " Wow , good reflexes" said the armour, "are you gonna help , are gonna talk"said Darius while dodging the wolf . " Well , let me think, l think l'll just watch, this should be fun". The wolf kept trying to jump on him, and was almost successful when Darius drew his sword and slashed through it's stomach. The wolf fell on the ground growling. " Don't think it's over , four eyed wolves , heals in matters of seconds" said the armour. And as the armour said, the wolf's wound healed immediately, "What the hell" Darius exclaimed , the wolf took an attack stance and attacked him again, this time the wolf cut his face with it's long nail, and jumped on him, it tried to bite him but he quickly used his sword to block it's teeth. The wolf tried to bite him several times but he was quick to dodge it, Then with full force he pushed the wolf off him, and started slashing continiously not giving the wolf a chance to balance. " How do l kill it" he asked the armour, " destroy that small crystal in it's forehead , then you're done", the wolf ran through his slashes and hit him hard, which sent him flying and made him hit a tree, he quickly got up on his feet, and ran up the tree as the wolf was about to jump up too , he grabbed his sword two hands and drove it into the wolf's crystal. And the wolf fell dead. Darius sat on the ground and sighed a sigh of relief, " Don't sit down, you need to run" said the armour , "why?" , " Don't you know wolves travel in packs and the four eyed wolves have a spiritual link amongst themselves , that notifies them whenever any of their pack members is in trouble or dead. I'm surprised that none of them has come to help it" as the armour said this , they heard growls coming from behind them, the wolf's pack has arrived.
" It is about time they show up" said the armour, " are you fucking kidding me right now , " Darius stood up and began to run, some of the wolves chased him, but then suddenly they stopped chasing him. Darius stopped running and asked the armour, " why did they retreat?" ," What, you want them to keep chasing you?", "What?, No but seriously why did they stop chasing me" . "Well that's because the king of beasts is up ahead." Darius froze at this. " But don't worry , I think he is asleep . Just walk back silently , we are going the other direction," , Darius sighed a sigh of relief, started towards the other direction. Darius was curious to know the armour's origin, Darius being Darius didn't ask the armour about it, because he figured it will tell him when he's ready. "You are a one strange man you know that" said the armour. "Why did you say that". " All of my previous hosts always ask me question about my origin at our first encounter itself. But you didn't ask, let me guess you figured l'd tell you if I'm ready right?". " Yep, and how did you know." Darius asked surprised. " I am a pretty good judge of character" said the armour, although Darius wasn't buying that , he didn't press it further. "Let me tell you about my origin, l was created by a powerful blacksmith , there is no kind of weapon that he can't forge. One day he decided to carry out an experiment, which is to forge a living weapon, sounds impossible right. He tried several methods and processes but failed. He was about to give up, when an exciting idea came into his head. He decided to use a tree demon's soul and essence as part of his ingredients. And this time he was successful. He forged me , it was because of the soul and essence of the tree demon.Thats why my look is like that of trees and wood." Darius was impressed by the blacksmith's knowledge and creativity. " Who was the blacksmith that forged you?" He asked, " it was Lord Scotus " Darius eyeballs grew big, " The legendary, Lord Scotus Fin, was your creator? No wonder " . " Yeah l know" the armour said proudly, " then how did he give you an eye?". " I got it from the demon's soul he used in forging me " it explained , " I still don't understand how one can use soul and essence in forging a weapon" said Darius still surprised , " Well l could explain a few things , but your head will just explode" the armour joked, Darius chuckled.
