Nea really picked out a lot of requests. And what's this? A skill card? So I can get skills in missions huh? That's nice, I better prepare and head out now.
After preparing I met up with Nea at the front of the guild.
"Hello, good morning," she said with a raspy morning voice.
"Morning, shall we depart immediately?"
"Sure, I need to walk to wake up," she said while she yawns.
"By the way, where's your armor?" I asked her because all I could see is just plain clothes.
"I'm already wearing it, unlike yours, I have magic armor, it can morph into my body and I could change it's appearance one time."
"Must be nice having lots of money..." I mumbled to myself while I look at her up and down.
"Let's go!" Nea shouted and started walking.
...
Half an hour later, we arrived at the edge of the forest. We discussed our plans and formations and we shared our skills. Nea has a great provocation skill, her Warcry can attract mobs from a 100-meter radius and it has a cooldown of 10 minutes. We just need to not approach the middle of the forest and use that, we might attract the entire army. She can tank the goblins and goblin mage spells with her shield, while I do most of the damage.
Not long after, we decided to use Warcry to provoke the goblins that are near us first. I distanced myself from Nea so they would all come rushing to her while I kill them as they go past me.
They came rushing and I can one-hit-one-kill every goblin even without using skills, just the passive skill {Sniping} alone is enough and this endless quiver that I got in the training grounds is amazing, I can shoot indefinitely without worrying about ammo. I took a high ground to easily shoot them, we continued with this strategy until we finished killing 325 goblins and 25 elite goblins. We also killed 100 goblin mages and took their hands with us, we now have 450 heads in total.
"Let's rest for the day shall we?!" Nea yelled from the bottom of the tree. I came down and find a nearby quite hidden spot.
"Let's settle here for tonight," I said as I bring out the tent, sleeping bag, and food.
"Then I'll be handling the food, I'll show you a specialty of ours," Nea said as she prepares to cook with a campfire and she also brought some ... kitchen utensils...
I set up our tent and checked my status. Seems like I level up. I tried putting stat points to Accuracy but it doesn't work, it won't allow me. The only way to increase it is to shoot arrows for the rest of my life. Then if the Dean has over 500 Accuracy stat... just how many did she shoot in her entire life...? Considering she's also an elf, she must have been doing this for a century or so...
Clearing my head of such thoughts, I saw that I'm level 17 now, I assigned all 15 stat points to Agility, I need to move faster.

I was surprised and stood up quickly.
"We have to go, goblins are coming close and there are rare ones," I said to Nea while I quickly finish the food and put off the fire.
"What? How'd you know?" She asked me in disbelief, "We just killed a bunch today though."
"I sensed them, trust me, the more you kill them, the more you get targeted. We are always being watched by the Shaman." I explained to her hoping that she would understand me.
"Okay fine, what do we do next," She grabbed her weapons and stood guard.
"Great, let's start moving and find an advantageous spot before we get surrounded here," I quickly moved away and she was following me behind.
"Use the warcry, attract them while running, I will also shoot them."
"Okay!"

This went on for a good few minutes.
"We've killed off the thief goblins, and normal goblins. They must be the advance party," I hate to believe it but these walking giant cucumbers have brains, and even more intellectual the higher the rarity.
"I'll stand guard in the front."
"Careful, there should be a leader with this group, let's move back slowly since there's no fast goblins that could catch up to us for now."
We moved back slowly towards the outer edge of the forest. I quickly climbed up the tree and survey the surroundings.
"I can't see them," I yelled to her.
"I'll try to provoke them," she responds.
Even after the warcry, there was no sign of them. Then suddenly...
"Nea! Get behind a tree!" I shouted at her because I saw a bunch of fireballs getting released all at once.
Our exit was set ablaze, they were trying to trap us inside the forest. Since I have their general location, I'll try to snipe them from up here. I infused my eyes with mana to see the goblin mages' mana. I keep shooting from up here and keep on using {Snipe-Split}. Everything is one shot but I'm worried about the hobgoblin, I don't see it anywhere.
I managed to finish off the goblin troops but suddenly a boulder was thrown near me causing me to fall. I tried to pick my stance mid-air.
"Got you!" Nea caught me before I hit the ground and she used a skill to cushion the fall.
"Thank you, you're a lifesaver," I said to her while I stand up.
"Thank me later, another boulder is coming," she put up a defensive skill to block it off, "Hey, try to break it into pieces so it won't damage us that much."
"Alright," I used {Snipe} to shatter the boulders. It was continuous and didn't end after a few minutes.
"It stopped?" Nea asked as I try to find some trace of mana.
"I think so, also I can't find the goblin anywhere."
"I'll try warcry again," Nea used warcry and I spread my mana around looking for a trace.
"I still can't find it."
The fire behind us is starting to fade.
"Let's wait for the fire to burn out," I said to Nea.
The following minutes were filled with silence and only the burning grass and wood can only be heard.
"KRAAAA!" We heard a scream up above and a huge goblin is dropping from the top of the trees.
We avoided it but we were split up. When it was on the ground, it started to target me. It was a huge 2-meter tall dark green goblin built like a terminator and it was wielding a huge greatsword.
"That's a hobgoblin, Ras, quickly go to me!" Nea shouted on the other side of the goblin. I ran to Nea as fast as possible, luckily I can still outrun it. But can Nea handle the attacks?
{Fortress}
A large thick barrier encroached the both of us. The hobgoblin's attack was making cracks on it fast. I keep shooting at its head but it's hard to pierce, not just his head, every part of his body is tough.
The barrier shattered into pieces and Nea was knocked back far. It continued to chase after me and I keep running away from it keeping a safe distance. This continued for a long time, I kept running in circles in order to not get far away from Nea, and she is trying to keep blocking the way of the hobgoblin only to be thrown away every time.
"His skin is too tough, I still haven't made a single dent!" I said to Nea.
"Use magic to penetrate its defenses!" She suggested.
I imbued the arrows I shoot with mana and combined it with {Snipe}. This exhausting fight of running and shooting is starting to take a toll on me, Nea is also visibly exhausted from being thrown and shoved around. Until a small wound opened up on its body.
"Just keep it distracted! Get him to come to me once I give you the signal!"
"Alright!" She started chanting and a glowing cross-shaped magic circle appeared behind her. I continued to shoot at the same spot to widen the wound.
"Now! Come here!" She shouted and then I lured the hobgoblin towards her.
{Grand Cross}
She thrust her sword to the goblin and a glowing yellow light appeared. The next moment, the hobgoblin have a giant hole in the wound I made on its body.

"What an eventful day, what do you think?" I said to Nea and gently poked her.
"Yeah..." She faintly mumbled then collapsed.
Ah, crap. I have to carry her back to town. Luckily we're already at the edge of the forest. No more goblins are coming right?
