After a long meeting and debate that ultimately ended up of them asking for our demands later this afternoon, the meeting has been finally come to an end.
Currently I am with David along with some people that I don't know, and they brought me outside of the Malacañang Palace to draw magic circle in the empty space to erect a barrier that protects the palace.
The lieutenant ask me to do it inorder to show them my capabilities in person. It seems like he wants them to understand how important it is not to get on my bad side and show them the benefits of not antagonizing me.
The Lieutenant is not with us today since he'll be meeting up and join the president himself on a dinner along with other high ranking people to discuss important matters regarding the security of the country. So basically we are free right now, but the Lieutenant insisted that I should always go with David so someone could keep and eye on me. He even gave a card to David so we could use it to enjoy ourselves which sounds very fishy.
"Can I help?" David asks while I'm painting on the cemented floor.
"Unfortunately no. But can you order them to stay away a little, they are pressuring me with their numbers and suffocating expectations." I asks but louder so others could hear it as well.
"Sorry, hey everyone let's back a little." Some wearing a traditional barong said and signal everyone to move.
I could hear disappointment but they still follows.
"You're not really a good person are you?"
David asks while looking at those who leave the place.
"Yes, you will often see this side of me when the temperature is hot. Although I could endure extreme temperature well, now that I have been awakened. The fact that I still got irritated only means that temperature here exceeded that of what I could handle. I want some Ice Cream now." I explained.
He then stood up on the side while opening his jacket trying to cover me with his shadows.
"Hurry up, I'll get burned here."
"Oh, I forgot, I have magic that could regulate temperature with opposite effect to what I did to you and to your father. Should I use it?"
"Oh yeah that's right. Go on use it."
I then manipulated my mana and perform the basic magic between the two of us.
Suddenly I could feel the cold temperature on my skin.
"Mine is too cold. Are you planning to freeze me? If you do that, good luck looking for someone with the same size as me who could satisfy you." He complained so I immediately adjusted the temperature of my spell to adhere to his command.
"Stop being boastful, your thing couldn't satisfy me so later on, when opportunity arrives, I will leave you to look for someone better."
I continued painting on the ground while listening to him.
"Is that so? Well for someone who look at my body with perverted gaze, that's some big words. Speaking of which, how did you find out my collection? I'm sure that I lock it up. You didn't even hesitate to embarrass me to my father."
"Oh just move on, it's not a big deal."
"It is, how dare you say that it's not. You shouldn't say something like that so casually especially right in front of other people."
"Oh, your father is not other people. If it is your siblings or your mother, I wouldn't make a joke about it but since It's your father, I thought it would be fine. My brother has that one too and also that pump that I don't know what it is called, but anyways my father saw him use it in his room. He just laugh it off and didn't talk about it. My father even told me not to share it with the others because it's a normal thing."
"You are talking as if you saw it."
"Because I do. We were suppose to be going to our neighbor to celebrate her birthday so I came to his room along with father who was following me to ask brother to join us but when I opened the door I saw brother do his thing with his toys." I explained.
David just face palmed himself, couldn't believe what I just said.
"Your brother must be avoiding you after that."
"Oh yes. He's not comfortable talking to me anymore after that incident."
"Even I wanted to do the same now. Anyways how did you found out mine?"
"I was looking for your photo albums in your wardrobe to take a look but I suddenly found some unnatural plywood there so I yank it out and saw hidden lock in there. I then look for the key but I couldn't find it so I use magic instead, and upon opening it I saw all of them perfectly line up with different color..."
He then put his hand on my mouth stopping me from continuing.
"Ok stop, stop it now. Just forget about that ok? Keep your mouth shut about that as well. I'll just accept that you openly reveal it to my father but don't share it to anyone." He then remove his hand and look at me.
"I won't reveal it to anyone but I want something in return."
His face turns that into a disappointed.
"Maybe I should just burn it all."
"Huh, why would you do that? What I want is not that harsh anyway. I just wanted to see you use one of that thing in front of me that all." I said in a low tone and smiled at him.
"You're pervert and hopeless at the same time."
He replied while smiling ang shaking his head.
"Yeah, and your liking it more than me." I said and stood up.
"Let's just talk about it when we're alone. I'll begin my magic now." I said and he stood away from the magic circle.
I walk at the center of the giant magic circle and begun casting the magic.
--Light Barrier--
Suddenly a light shoot out to the sky and a semi transparent dome has been created. Protecting the entire palace from monsters and people who wanted to do mischievous acts to come inside.
Claps could be heard from the people watching and they praise me for my work.
"Archie, how have you been?" Some familiar person approach me. If I'm not mistaken he is the Electric Mage I've form a temporary team before.
"Oh you are here as well? Good thing. I'm fine, how about you?" I asked.
Suddenly David approach us and put his arm on my shoulders.
"Introduce me to him." He said in a serious tone.
What's up with this guy?
I tried to remove his heavy arm from his shoulder but he didn't budge so I decided to just let him be.
"Oh, I'm Jason. I am one of the member of the temporary team along side Archie that was formed to close the powerful gates that appeared in Mindanao. Nice meeting you." He said and offered his hand to David.
"So you are awakened as well? By the way I'm David, his assigned guard today. Nice meeting you as well." David accept the handshakes.
"By the way what are you doing here?" I inquired.
"Ahh, I've received the invitation for the meeting as well. Actually all members who formed the team with us before are all here as well. You probably haven't notice us since you barely look around."
"I'm sorry about it, It's not my thing to keep looking at my surroundings when there are so many people around. But good thing that you are all here, I can finally give you all your items."I said.
"You've finish it already? I was actually thinking that it might take you a long time to make."
"Oh, I just use magic to finish it quickly. Don't worry I didn't compromise the quality. What you were about to received is the best quality of item that you can get using the materials that I have."
"That makes me excited. Should we all go and meet up? I'll inform the others about it and they will surely make time for you. Maybe let's all have lunch at a restaurant together." He suggested.
"Nahh, I'm poor right now. The Lieutenant is still discussing the rewards for my achievements so I don't have money with me aside from this 150 pesos."
"Let's just go, I'll pay for it." David suggests.
"It's my treat don't worry." Jason said it at the same time.
"Oh what a wonderful suggestions. Just treat me to dinner later David, let's have Jason treat us today." Both of them agreed to my suggestion.
"Let's meet up at 12 p.m at the Orange Grill just outside the Malacañang Palace. I'll go now and inform the others." He said and walk away but I stop him.
"I'll just use magic to deliver the message to them so you don't have to."
I immediately search for everyone using my mana sense and it didn't take me long to locate every single one of them.
I then begun weaving my spell.
"Hello, this is Archie the sorcerer you've form a temporary team not too long ago. I just want to inform you that your equipment, armors, and weapons are all finish already. Let's all meet up at 12 p.m in the Orange Grill restaurant just outside the Malacañang Palace so I could hand it over to you, our Electric Mage will be treating all of us so please come." I whispered in the air and the air delivers it to my intended target.
