"Archie don't use cellphone while eating." Lieutenant said.
The three of us are having our breakfast in the Lieutenant's room. After this we will proceed to the designated meeting place.
Officials and the Lieutenant already have their zoom meetings last night, what they want is for me to show my face in front of them and to know me in person.
"Sorry Lieutenant, after you release my fight footage, some people who claimed to be my relatives message me. There are also some people messaging me for any random things, but above all, my profile picture likes already reach 200 hahahaha. Soon my likers will surpass that of David." I said while putting my phone away.
"That's your happiness? 200 likes? Do you want me to share your profile picture and ask my fans to like it?" David suggests.
"Yes sure do that." I agreed immediately.
"No don't, what are you doing? Don't suggest something like that David. Why are you so obsess with likes? You'll get it when you have TV exposures. Don't make yourself pitiful."
"Oh, speaking of TV exposure. I promised some girl with short hair and slightly weird looking filipino to do my first interview. Oh, you see her Lieutenant back in Bayugan City, can she interview me first?"
I asks.
"Oh you can break your promises with the reporters it's not like they do keep promises themselves. But if it brothers you, I'll arrange your interview with that news station and ask for that girl to interview you. Next time don't make promises with the reporters and journalist, they are someone not to be trusted with remember that." He reminded me and I nodded.
He's an experience person so there's no harm listing to him.
So we continued eating until we're full.
Suddenly the Lieutenant received a call that our ride is already here so we get out of the building and ride it.
We arrived at the Malacañang Palace and I could feel presence of strong awakened individual inside as well. It seems like I'm not the only one who has been invited here.
"Please follow us." Someone said and lead us the way.
We arrived at a cabinet meeting room and we seated somewhere. There are both politicians, military lieutenants, as well as awakens seated.
"Are you cold? The aircon here is quite strong." David asks trying to offer me his jacket.
"Just wear the jacket I'm not actually feeling cold." I said and begun to weave simple magic for him and for the Lieutenant.
"Your not getting it at all." He whispered.
I then begun to cast the spell to him and to his father. Both of which immediately look at me as they feel the warm temperature in their bodies.
"Thanks for that, Archie." I just nodded at the Lieutenant as a respond but suddenly someone arrive and talk with him so his attention is now away from us.
"Did I do a good job? I think I deserve some Ice cream after this."
"I'll give you one and it's unlimited." He wink at me.
"I don't like small Ice cream." I said but suddenly someone approach us.
"Hello, are you the one they were calling as Mindanao's Guardian? Can I invite you to have some private meeting after this? Here's my card." A female politician said while offering her card towards me.
"Sorry to say this but he is now working under Lieutenant Soreso. If you want to ask him for some private meeting, you'll have to ask him first." David unexpectedly interjected.
If not for him doing that I would probably say yes already.
"Ahh, so you are with Lieutenant Soreso? I guess I'll have to talk with him first later to have a private conversation with you." She said before leaving.
"They really started to make a move on you, my father really is a wise one to bring me here to watch over you. If it is you, you would probably agreed and get aquatinted with her. Considering how easy to get you are."
He said in a tone that gives double meaning.
"How dare you call me easy to get. I just agreed to it because I miss having one."
I said as I tried to strangle him.
"See, your no good at all. Don't worry I'll always do it with you so you won't miss it. Stop strangling me already, my polo will get wrinkles." He said and I could already see some so I stopped.
"Ahh look at it, it's not so good anymore. I'll take my revenge on you tonight so you better not wear anything or else I'll torn it into pieces."
"Don't move I'll do magic for it." I manipulated my mana and his polo straightened right away.
"Done"
"How convenient. Nothing will go wrong being with you around."
"Yeah, I know. That's why your hitting on me and your father is literally selling his kids just to get me."
"Hey I genuinely like you that's why I'm dating you."
"Yeah I understand, don't be so defensive." I said when suddenly I could feel a strong presence coming to our direction. I stop David and look to whoever is coming.
He middle age bulky guy come and approach us along with 2 older guys.
"Yo, are you the one they called Mindanao's Guardian? Can I talk to you for a second?" He asks.
David stood up and look at the middle age guy and he replied.
"Sorry but he's working under Lieutenant Soreso, if you want to talk to him you need ask for his permission first."
"Who are you? A normal person dares to talk back to me? Do you even know who I am? People called me The Titan."
"I've heard of that name but I simply don't care."
Suddenly the other party grab his polo and threatening to punch David. I could feel that he put mana in his fist so if he truly punch David with that, death will surely follow considering how strong this guy is. He is the strongest I've met so far after all, even stronger than the Boss Croc.
"Harm him in anyway, I will destroy the entire Manila alongside you." I calmly said while glaring at him full of killing intent.
"Ohhh... Sorry for that." He then let go of David.
"Get out of my face, annoy me once more and you'll see what your looking."
"You're fiercer than I thought. Let's go, I couldn't defeat that guy, he has so much mana inside him compared to me." He said and walk out from us.
"Are you ok? That guy ruined your clothes again. Let me take care of it." I said and immediately fix it.
"It's dangerous to have others get the position for hunter association leader. If an arrogant person like him gets it, no one know what would happened."
David said while seating.
"That's true. Don't worry, your father is doing everything he can to make things favor our way. " I said and suddenly the Lieutenant came back and return to his seat.
"I saw what happened. You really foresee the future better than me Archie. You even predicted the need to have this association and how important it is for the people."
The Lieutenant said.
"He's amazing dad, he even make that so called Titan run off his pants. Say Archie if you two fight, could you win?" David curiously ask.
"I can, it would be a little hard while protecting you but I can manage it somehow."
Suddenly the door opened revealing the president's spoke person along with some guards. He then immediately walk towards the stage. It seems like he's very busy.
"Sorry for arriving late. I will be here on behalf of the president himself for obvious security purposes. Now everyone please be seated. Let's now begin the meeting." He stated.
Yes, clearly the president won't come and meet us since we are here. If we take the life of the president here, no one would be able to do something about it and they know it.
"As you can see, our world has entered a new era. An era which both monsters and people with super natural power exists..."
He continued talking about what they discovered so far ...
"So now in order to create a new world order in which we could all coexist together, both awakened and not, we decided to create a new branch of government. The Philippines Hunter Association or PHA. All matters related to awakened individuals will all go through here. So it's important that we choose a best person to lead this association."
He then opened the huge flat screen behind him and it reveled the face of the Light Speed Hero.
"What you will be seeing here are the candidates that the cabinet suggests that could take on this role. They have achieve great feats in closing the gates and protecting our people and nation. Now let's start with Makoy Delacruz, 26 years old, also known as Light Speed Hero. He participated in closing 5 gates in Luzon and clean up the monster remnants that escape in the dungeon. Next is Ferdinand Calope, 35 years old, also called as The Titan. He participated in closing 4 gates and he is also the one that is responsible on killing giant monsters that escape from the gate and cause distraction on Baguio City. I believe he is here with us, I offer you my sincere thanks for saving our people."
We all look at the so called titan and he just nodded at the spoke person.
I guess his response now is much better that if he talk.
"Now let's continue, the next one is Christine Madrigal, 32 years old and being called as Hawk Eye by the people. She alone defeated several thousands of insects type monsters infesting Bohol area and the nearby city. She is also responsible for leading a group of awakened there and close it's gates. She is currently in a weakened state and is now resting."
He then next the slide revealing my facebook profile pic face on the candidate list.
"The last one is Archie Miles, 21 years old, people called him with different names like, Space Mage, Demon Lord, God's apostle, but the most prominent of all that everyone could agreed on is the Mindanao's Guardian title. His achievements includes eradicating all monsters that escape the gate in the entire Mindanao, Close 5 high danger level gates, restoring 25 cities, retrieving the bodies of the fallen in Bayugan City, and lastly erecting a barrier to safeguard the refugees. Among the 4 of them the Hawk Eye and Light Speed Hero declined the offer of leading this association. The other two that are here are still yet to respond to this."
Suddenly Ferdinand the Titan raised his hand and stood up.
"I actually came here to discuss about the compensation and rewards that I could get from you. I'm not interested in working for the government. I've heard that we will be having guilds with awakened people here in the Philippines, I'm more interested in becoming a guild leader than work for a less paying job."
Guild? No one told me that, maybe I should inquire to the lieutenant for more details about it later.
"I see, then I guess we can expect from Archie, the guardian of Mindanao to take on the role. Are you willing to do it?"
"I'm not interested in doing it. But if you put Lieutenant Soreso in the position, then I'll join the Association as one of its Hunters."
