Chapter 52 - See you in a week

(Flashback)

Few judges looked into the screen before them, every screen showing a view from another camera. The judges watched as the child's chaotic nature was revealed, from the appearance of the weapons he summoned with ease to the spin of death. He had the skill and was recognized as the judges talked amongst themselves about, the fact that he actually came for the exam, but there was something bothersome.

All Might sighed in relief knowing that the child has chosen the brighter path. 'I am glad he took onto that offer.'

"It is strange.. he seems so random, i remember a few months back when he was depicted as a villain, yet he is here now..."

"What's stranger is that we didn't receive an application from him." A squeaky voice pointed out. "But if he wants to join us, it would be best if we made sure he succeeds. "

All Might sighed in relief knowing that the child has chosen the brighter path. 'I am glad he took onto that offer.'

(End of Flashback)

...

"You guys thought I was gone? No? Heh, guess that was expected." The kid said walking towards the others with lifted shoulders and opened arms. But as the dust cloud vanished the kid's attention was drawn to his rival, or at least the wanna be rival. "Ey blondy, no hard feeling. I'm just a bit.... Better." The kid smiled looking at him with a knowing smile.

He looked pissed, and gave the kid a death stare filled with a lot of anger. "Nothing personal, do better next time." The kid said walking past the boy and tapping a bit of dust from their shirt, but this seemingly to the outside act of kindness, just harmed their ego even more. "You think you are better than me?" The boy said annoyed. But this argument was pointless when neither of them got into a big fight. It was just random and unnecessary. The kid turned around with dead cold expression. "Yes!" This expression turned into a smile, not particularly a confident or a mocking one. But just a smile, as if someone just said a joke and he liked. Then he turned around and simply walked away, waiting for the others to come so they can be lead to the second part of the exam, the written tests. Time passed, the announcement of the end of the mock battle has already been said and in the distance the kid could see the others walking towards him.

He was standing next to the bus underneath the small shadow that was cast by it.

And as the when they appeared, they were on their way back to where they came from. The kid knew what was going to happen, because he has read it on the net.

His chaotic nature was set aside as he channelled all the knowledge he has gathered, and all that he was given, even if he was strongly against using unearned knowledge. It was his ticket into the school, a more intelligent version of him took the place, his mind flowing freely with thoughts as if it were the winds at the top of a mountain.

He felt sorry for the boy he mocked and so walked to him with unbalanced steps grabbing wherever he can while the bus moved. "Hey!" He said as he came to a stop. "I am sorry for earlier." He said with a quiet voice.

"Huuuh?" The boy turned his gaze to the kid from the outside and looked at him furiously. But this stare, it seemed normal. 'Is he always this pissed?'

"Listen here you bastard, I don't need your apology. In the end i will surpass all of you." The boy said with a serious voice.

"Alright, i will be waiting then. I wish the best for you... Actually all of you." He said before turning towards everyone in the bus. "But enough talking about it, only time gives answer when it comes to potential." He said before summoning a wooden chair and sitting on it, without any shame of the social interaction.

People were stunned by how bold he was acting, this wish, it was a motive to continue striving forward even if they might fail the entrance exam.

He allowed his head to rest after the tricks he performed his head was still spinning. It took a few minutes for it to happen. With some good timing the spinning stopped the moment that the bus has reached a stop.

The kid took following of those who knew where to actually go, he walked alongside the other examines towards the main area of the school campus.

People were entering into the rooms for which they were assigned to take the exam in. He tried to walk into a room, but was stopped to be checked for a participant paper. "Yeah, funny thing, I don't have one." The kid said to the guy who was there. "..." The man just signaled him to leave with a single hand.

The kid was about to noclip through the ground to get out of the situation as he came here just for this. But then "Wait, Wait!" A little white animal ran up to the kid. "Sorry to interrupt, but something has come to my attention. Here you go." The little guy said opening his pocket and handing a folded paper. The kid took it and looked what's inside it was a examine number for him. "But duo to the lack of space in this room, i will take you to another. Follow me!" The little creature said as it walked away, and so the kid did as he was told.

After some time of walking throughout the building they reached a room an empty one. With a couch, table, and a few other objects and items that would be found in the casual faculty lounge. "Take a sit, i will like to ask you a few questions. Also if it doesn't bother you, you can do the exam while we talk." The little guy said sitting on the couch. "I will be alright. But let me ask the question first. Who are you?" The kid asked sitting on a small chair designated for him.

"My name is Nezu, i am the principal of UA high. If you don't have anymore questions, may i?" Nezu asked.

"Of course."

"Thank you, and here you go." Nezu said going to the desk and picking up a test that he prepared for this moment. "Anyways, would you like a cup of tea before we start? Don't spill it." He asked with a happy tone.

"No, but thank you..." The kid replied looking down at the test and summoning himself a pen, which immediately lit up a bulb. Giving him the idea to make a pen with alive ink.

"Alright, you may begin the test. I am wondering, what made you want to become a hero?" Nezu asked him.

"I want to experience something exciting, i want to find meaning, but I won't get too much into details... I simply want to enjoy myself and the motivation to stay here." The kid replied before marking a few answers on his sheet of paper.

"Oh... That's quite the motive... But isn't there a deeper meaning into this? Didn't you came here to become a hero?" Nezu asked tilting his head

"I don't need to pass the hero course to be a hero... It's just something i want to go through. To meet more people, to fight, and to enjoy what i gain. You can say i am hero to develop as an individual."

Nezu nods and takes a sip from his cup. "I understand... If you pass, i will gladly welcome you in." As nezu said that the kid wrote in a few more answers. "Appreciated."

They sat in silence for a bit, from time to time a sipping sound was hear, the one created by principal Nezu. The kid didn't focus in too much, since the answers were too obvious to him. And after a hour, the kid was done. The kid pushed it on the table towards Nezu, rotating his hand so the lower part of the test faced him.

"I am done." The kid said quietly. To which Nezu took a look at it, seeing that the kid didn't write in a name, he wasn't sure what to say. He looked up at the kid. "You forgot to write your name." He said pointing at it.

"I don't have one... It's unnecessary when you are defined by your capabilities and actions... But a name could be useful... I remember when i asked myself what my name is... I have come to accept myself without one in recent times." The kid said.

"Doesn't matter, i will check your test immediately. So there is no confusion later." Nezu said looking up at the kid with a welcoming smile. Before looking back down into the test reading the questions and reviewing them based on his base knowledge.

"So far you have given perfect questions." Nezu said surprised of how much the child knew for not even knowing their own name, it was strange, how could someone not know their own name.

"Thank you." The kid said leaning forward onto his knees.

Nezu finally finished checking the test and was nicely surprised, because it was all right, perfect scores everywhere.

"Perfection... Nice job!" Nezu said giving him a thumbs up, and smiled warmly.

"Thank you." The kid said slightly zoning off, yet returning the smile through a smaller gesture. "I thought we will talk a lot more, but i guess not."

"If you want we can talk a bit more, there are many things we can talk about."

"At this point in time it's not necessary... So... do i pass?"

"The results will be shown i a week, but i believe you nailed your place in UA, so i can only say, see you in a week... Still we don't have an address to send the results to."

"That's is still not a thing when it comes to me... can't we just think of another way? Perhaps i can come back."

"Sure, i can allow that." Nezu replied. "So... see you in a week." Nezu said, the kid took his leave at that. Nezu waved him goodbye as the kid walked through the doorway. "Goodbye."
