The next day
The afternoon sun reflected off the shiny glass windows of the tall skyscrapers which seemed to reach the sky. New haven city was experiencing the summer heat but the people didn't mind it anymore. Technological advancements had made it so that no one would have to bear the heat while inside their home. Not even the poor living in the outskirts of the city in small houses, just like Alex and his mother Maria.
But right now the house was occupied by Alex, Lilly and Kira. They were sitting in the living room as they discussed something.
"So your father really managed to turn you into a sane sanguine... Ken and every sanguine he created are actually unstable and some are even totally mental. I wasn't that stable too. Till I drank your blood. " Kira said and glanced at Alex who smiled at her.
"Well, he did. But if I had known that he had failed before then I might not have so readily believed him and drank that ghoul's blood. " Alex said with a wry smile. He had met Samuel only after turning into a sanguine and then found out that his father had failed before. But he seemed to have perfected the amount of ghoul's blood required for a vampire to ingest to turn into a sanguine. Otherwise, Alex doubted that his father would have left him the ghoul's blood.
"Ken needs to die. "Lilly suddenly said drawing the attention of Alex and Kira.
"Of course, he will. " Kira said. She had told Alex and Lilly of the horrors that Ken inflicted on the victims that he abducted. They were turned into sanguine. But it wasn't the way that he had made her or the other important subordinates of his which had a higher chance of success. No, it was a different method.
He would just give them a drop of his blood and that was it. It was simple but had a low success rate of creating a sanguine with human-like intelligence. But Ken didn't care. If they came out just a bit unstable, then they would work for Ken but if they were fully mad then they would be nutrients for Ken to grow his strength.
"Yes, he will have to die. "Alex said. In fact the reason, he even became a sanguine was to stop Ken from harming more people.
"But first we need help as Ken is simply too strong for us. He even has pureblood sanguine as his subordinates who are even stronger than pureblood vampires and ghouls. Only the legendary werewolves would be a match for them." Kira said as she looked at Alex and Lilly one by one.
They nodded along to Kira but had no idea who they were going to ask for help. Alex was just a normal seventeen-year-old student.
While Lilly was an SBC agent, she was a lone agent and had no team. So, the only person she could ask for help was her mother and that was it.
"Who should we even ask for help? "Alex groaned and leaned back on the couch that he was seated on.
"We can't rely on SBC. There would be moles left by Ken. "Kira said.
Lilly nodded and said, "The only person I can talk to in SBC is my mother who is a captain of a team of agents in the SBC. Other than that, there is no one. "
"Well, we do have a way of making some strong and loyal helpers. "Kira said with a mysterious smile on her face.
Alex and Lilly curiously looked at Kira who started explaining, "Alex is a sanguine progenitor which means that he can create other sanguines who are completely loyal to him. "
"You mean, Alex should create other sanguines. Then how is he any different than Ken? Using others for selfish gains without caring for their lives. "Lilly said with a slightly louder voice as her eyes stared daggers at Kira.
"Of course, I understand that. We won't be abducting innocent people. Instead, We will be using criminals. Those that deserve death for their crimes. " Kira said smiling meaningfully at Alex.
