Startled, Sophia was immediately taken aback. She panicked and her smile fell to pieces as she reached out her hand to hold her wrists, "I- I didn't lie, Estelle. I.."
"I know when someone lie to me," Estelle responded, "And sometimes I also know that people lie for other's sake and safety but I don't condone liars. I am especially sure that you have never mentioned my name being similar to the woman in the portrait."
"No listen," Sophia tried to come up with a reason to protect and defend her innocence but seeing Estelle's golden eyes filled with skepticism and how quickly she had shut off her trust on her made Sophia broke into sweat. She couldn't find a single word to utter and could only stare at Estelle as she stepped away.
