Zemis was taken aback, his eyes widening. I was certain he now understood how his negligence could have potentially harmed or, worse, even killed someone.
"Numerous esteemed guests will attend the King's birthday banquet. Imagine how embarrassing it would be if the building were to collapse in the middle of the party. Both of us would be held responsible," I emphasized once more.
Zemis scanned his blueprint, seemingly shaken. "T-this can't be..." he stammered.
"They must have made a mistake s-somewhere," Zemis stuttered as he carefully examined the paper in his hand.
Zemis' distressed expression became apparent, causing concern among those present. He was starting to panic, wondering how to salvage his perfect plan that I had unintentionally disrupted.
Feeling a tinge of guilt, I sighed and walked closer towards him. I stretched out my hand, signaling for him to hand me the blueprint. Zemis looked up and met my gaze.
