I rushed up to him, eager to greet Duke Sebastian with a curtsy, but I was immediately interrupted by Duke Sebastian himself.
"What do you even see in this guy?" Duke Sebastian questioned Zemis while casting a disapproving glance at Theo.
"My dear Zemis would never date a flirtatious peacock like you," Theo retorted, shielding Zemis with his arms.
Duke Sebastian smirked. "Flirtatious? I'm just a friendly individual. I don't suppose a prince like you knows how to be friendly, given your arrogance and selfishness."
"I'm not arrogant; I simply don't like your presence! You should know when to back off, especially since Zemis already has a lover—which is me." Theo replied, still glaring.
"Oh, please. With your attitude, I'm certain Grand Duke Zemislav would prefer someone reliable and intelligent, like myself," Duke Sebastian sneered.
