As the guards opened the entrance door, they were greeted by the smiling faces of the guests who looked up at both of them. They, in turn, gazed down the stairs, meeting the expectant gazes of the attendees.
The audience fixed their attention on Duke Arthur, waiting for him to speak.
"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us at the coming-of-age ceremony for our young Duke Xyriel," Duke Arthur spoke with a cheerful smile, prompting applause from the crowd.
He turned his gaze to Xyriel and subtly signaled for him to step forward, allowing everyone to get a clear view. Despite his nervousness and pounding heart, Xyriel managed to uphold his dignity and offer a poised smile.
