Stan found out that Rodger had sent for his wife and that she was supposed to be coming in to see him. Rodger had made some arrangements with almost all of the guards for her to service them in some way to pay for the favors that he wanted since he didn't have any money. Stan thought that he just needed one of the guards that he could count on to bring her to him first.
Before Stan had been planning on using her when he thought that would destroy Rodger. But now Stan realizes that it would have no effect on Rodger at all. So, his plan had to change. He still wants to talk to her first so that he can offer to pay Beth to refuse to do what Rodger wants. All he needs her to do is to go to Rodger and then refuse to do anything in front of him and all the guards. Then he would make sure that she got out without any of them touching her. It would leave Rodger in the worst circumstances of his life with everyone looking for payment for the favors that he had been collecting.
Stan thought about the guards and knew that before the only one that he didn't want to deal with was the big guard Deen. Because he didn't seem to care about the money or doing anything to get it. But now that was just the type of guard that he was going to be needing. If he could get Deen to bring her to him, then take her down to Rodger. Have her make a scene and then have Deen escort, her back out without anyone touching her then Rodger would be totally screwed.
Stan thought that this would be perfect. All it would take would be a little cash given to Beth to take care of her and her kids. After all what woman wants to be used as a whore to please a lot of dirty guards. Just so that their shitty husband gets things better while they are in prison.
Stan shook his head just thinking about it, he had to kind of laugh knowing that Rodger was trying to use his wife this way. It showed just what a piece of shit person he was, and just how little he felt for her. Stan knew that this was going to play into his hands, and if he had to through her a little money each month it would be worth it. To leave Rodger to pay the debts to the guards that he had promised that she would do.
Stan knew which guards were in his pocket, and which ones that Rodger had started getting favors from. Stan didn't trust most of them not to turn on him when the other guards would put pressure on them. Because he knew that once she came in they were not going to want her to just walk away clean. Especially after coming in even if she refused to do what they were wanting. Stan knew that the only one that they would not mess with would be Deen.
Stan had one of the guards that he more or less trusted send Deen into his cell so they could talk. When time passed Stan didn't think that Deen was going to come talk to him. Stan was not sure what he was going to do without Deen he doubted that any of the other guards would be able to carry out the plan other than Deen.
An hour passed and Stan was struggling with thoughts, but nothing was working out the way that he was wanting. If he couldn't get the guard to walk her out, he knew that once Beth came in she would be put in a cell and used and maybe not released for a while there were enough empty cells that someone could be put in here and then just lost in the paper trail and never seen again.
Stan couldn't believe that even Rodger could be so heartless as to risk that happening to his wife, but he knew that Rodger had always looked after himself more than he looked after his family.
Stan was instantly relieved once he saw Deen entering his cell, but he came in with an angry expression on his face. There was no way that he liked being ordered around by the prisoners and he especially didn't like it when it was passed from the guards to him making it seem like he was on the take.
Deen asked, "What the fuck do you want?"
Stan could tell that he was on the verge of getting hit if he didn't fix this. Stan calmly said, "You seem to be about the only Guard in here that seems not to be on the take, and Rodger Smith's wife is coming in today. I know that you must have heard about it and how he is trying to bribe the other guards using her as the payment..."
Stan paused to watch his expression change to see if he cared at all. From what Stan saw he was not caring all that much. So, Stan said, "Well I don't think that she is going to want to do that type of thing for him. The only reason that I can think of that she might feel that she has to would be because she needs money to take care of her children..."
Stan paused once again to see if his expression had changed at all. Which, if it had changed didn't make much difference. Stan continued, "I believe that she is going to want to refuse or will refuse to comply with them and then they will force her to do it."
Deen said, "So what is it to you anyway."
Stan said, "I know her and the children. If you remember I wanted, you to bring her in to talk to me yesterday when she was in. I plan to make sure that she has enough money to take care of her children, so she doesn't have to whore herself out to get it."
Deen took a close look at him and knew that there was more to the story than he was letting on, so he said, "And you are going to be doing this out of the goodness of your heart because you know her and her kids."
Stan took a hard swallow knowing that he was busted and that he was going to have to tell the truth. Stan said, "Fine. You got me. Yes, I know her, and I don't really care all that much about her, and her kids, or at all in fact. But I don't think that he should be bribing the guards with something that his wife is going to have to pay out. Especially if she doesn't want to do it to begin with."
Deen asked, "Arnt you in here for trying to make one of his kids your slave?"
Stan said, "That is all a big misunderstanding. The girls have control of my company, and I just want to make sure that they are looked after properly. So they make the right decisions for the sake of the company."
Deen thought yeah, I bet it is all about you wanting the best for the company, and not yourself. Deen scowled at him and said, "So, just what do you want from me?"
Stan could see that Deen was not all that impressed by him but he was not liking the idea of the guards using someone that didn't want to be used. There was no way he would ever take advantage of a woman like that. Stan could tell that he was tired of the other guards taking bribes and acting worse than the prisoners that they were guarding.
Stan said, "I am just asking you because I know you are an honest guard. All you have to do is bring her to talk to me before she talks to Rodger, I will tell her that she has another option and let her know that I will take care of her and her children. Then let her go to her husband and then let her make up her mind about what she wants to do. If she wants to do all the guards, then so be it but if she doesn't then just make sure that she gets outside and is allowed to go free."
Deen looked at him and wondered just what was he getting out of this. He had heard some of the talk floating around the prison on what they were planning on doing to her and most of it sounded more like something that they would be doing if they were going to rape her especially now that Stan was so sure that she wouldn't want to do it or would only be doing it to save her children.
Deen said, "I will not put her in your cell so that you can do what you want with her."
Stan knew that when he had talked to him before that was what he had wanted but now it was perfectly fine he had only wanted to use her to get at Rodger now this was so much better. Rodger had dug his own grave, and he didn't have to do anything to help. Stan had to laugh Rodger had set all this up because he was scared of being hurt when he hadn't even done anything.
Stan said, "Oh yes that is perfectly fine I just need to talk to her and let her know that she doesn't have to do anything to save her family it is just a misunderstanding and then she can go to her husband."
Deen noticed the smile forming on his face as he saw Stan's plan unfold, but out of everything it was the right thing to do. It would put an end to all the bribery that Rodger was trying to do. As well as put an end to some of the guards trying to use a woman who did not want to be used. Deen wished that the place was not as corrupt as it was, but he was going to make sure that he kept himself honest. Whether it helped this asshole Stan or not.
Deen said, "I will do my job and as long as you are trying to help her, I will allow you to talk with her. That is as long as she wants to talk with you."
Stan had felt a lot better until he added that last part of her wanting to talk to him. He wasn't sure just what Beth had heard about everything and whether she would listen to him or even give him a chance to talk with her.
