Natasha's POV
I don't know why this boy always tries to bother me. He is just a pain in my ass. I sometimes think he is the devil himself that descended from behind to cause commotion and destruction in my life but anyway, I will deal with him in my own style.
Anyway, I have to get to the flower shop to get some flowers for Betty and get groceries for mom, football for Lilly and Sneakers for myself. I thought in my head as I walked to the supermarket near our house. It's like everyone in my house needs something or the other. I entered the supermarket, greeted Nicole who was busily placing money in the locker and went away. I took my favourite shopping basket, thus, the trolley and walked gently by the shelf where I carefully selected a nice football for Lilly. I was still looking through the shelf when I noticed that my trolley couldn't move any more and when I looked up.
"What the heck do you think you are doing? Get out of my way and let me go if you don't want my trouble this hot afternoon." I scolded Joey who used his foot to block the trolley from moving.
"Oh no Tasha, don't be afraid I'm not gonna hurt you anyway. I am a nice and gentle guy." he replied in a baby voice trying to make me angrier.
I wanted to make my Saturday afternoon more lively and play along with his stupid game but I knew my mom would have been waiting for me to cook dinner so I passed by him and continued my shopping while trying to ignore whatever he was blubbering. I picked up a nice pair of sneakers which was white but painted with different colours, making it look much more beautiful.
"Girl, I think you should put those sneakers down because they won't fit an ugly soul like you." Joey commented from behind me. I was a little bit pissed off but I decided to let go of it but when he repeated it so many times…
"Now you listen to me Joey, mark my words, the next time you try to make a fool out of me, heaven knows you wouldn't want to see me or tryna get in my way, I will make sure…" I tried to threaten.
Laughing, he drew closer to me, placed his mouth on my ears and said,…
"You can't do anything to me Tasha, I am much stronger than you think, just try it and see what will happen to you."
He laughed out loud and walked away. Looking at the time, I pushed the trolley to the counter for my things to be packed for me. Quickly, I took the things and hurried back home, mommy was sitting in the kitchen waiting for me, granny was knitting in the living room while Lilly watched her favourite cartoon on my laptop. Me entering the room drew everyone's attention to me. I entered the kitchen and I placed the groceries on the kitchen cabinet, removed the carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, cabbage and potatoes to start chopping, dicing and slicing them for my mom to start making the dishes. I could have made it myself but I was not feeling so good about cooking.
"Leave those things and go inside before I get angry. Who sent you to buy the things I wanted to buy? I told you that, the doctor said you should rest." Mommy yelled out to me.
Quickly, I took the flowers for Betty and the football for Lilly and rushed into my room, I knew my mom would not be happy if I had stayed there a little longer. I jumped onto my bed to force myself to sleep but the more I did…
JOEY'S POV
This Tasha girl is just so annoying, she gets on my nerves everytime I see her. Why is she so arrogant and selfish? The most annoying thing is that she tries to prove me wrong every time, whether we're in class or outside the classroom, it's just not good of her. Sometimes I feel like I am such an idiot or something.
"What are you thinking about dearie? I am right here and I need you and your attention." Natalie pleaded with me.
"Sorry dear, I was just wondering if what we are doing is right? Sometimes, people say dating each other at our age is just a waste of time because we will break up." I commented while looking sad.
Natalie held up my hand and answered,"Well dear, it is never wrong to fall in love with someone. It is the matter of the heart, it is not for us to decide who to love, when or how to love, it comes in its own way. Love is not a decision or a choice but it is destiny, those who are destined to love, nothing can change it."
I felt touched with what she said and I realised I wasn't really giving her the attention she deserved, so I gave her a kiss on her forehead then hugged her while telling her I still love her no matter what happens. We had a long conversation together, we laughed together and I felt some kind of excitement in my heart seeing Natalie happy. I know that I love her so much but I don't know why I have doubts sometimes.
"Hey mom! How was your day!" I asked my mom as I always did.
"It was great dear. Dinner will be served in the next few minutes. Would you like to have it when I'm done?"
"Don't worry about me mom. I've already eaten." I replied as I walked upstairs to sleep.
I knew I had a presentation to make and annoyingly, I had to meet up with Natasha so that she could wrap up the whole thing for the presentation the following day.
"You look so cute dear. What is your relationship with our daughter Natasha?" An old lady sitting on a couch asked.
