I was wandering around the forest for hours when one Nymph approaches me.
She was catching her breathe before she give her statement "we need you" she suddenly said while holding my wrist.
"Why? What's happening?" I asked calmly.
"Mortals trying to mess the sea!" another nymph answered before she jumped near to us.
"Bring me there" I simply replied.
We ran as quick as we can and while running, I asked them out of curiousity "why you needed my help again this time? Where's god Poseidon and his child?"
"God Poseidon went back to Mount Olympus while god Triton went to another realm and its been a week since they both left" Nymph replied.
I didn't bother to ask why they don't use their ability to sue mortals in their territory because I know they can't hypnotize and they don't have any equipment unlike huntress that has their bow and arrows.
We came to the sea and saw how wicked mortals again.
They were pouring the sea using the galloon of ink, oh wait, are they drunk?!
I was preparing my bow and arrow from distance "go to your respective assigned place, I already got this" I said without looking at them.
I've got no answer from them so I didn't bother to look back to them.
When I was ready to shoot and warn them from what they were doing, someone suddenly held my wrist.. tightly.
I look back to see who it is with my annoyed expression.
"What are you trying to do?" he said while directly looking to my eyes.
"Y-you can see me?" I asked back while trying to hide how surprise I am right now.
"What?!" he asked again in disbelief.
I gulped then looked to his hand that were holding my wrist.
I pulled my wrist and step back away from him.
How could he see me when I'm using my ability for being air right now?!
I ran away from him and forgot to help those Oceanids to protect their place.
"Hey! Wait!" he yelled but I ignored it.
I came back to my assigned place and saw so many group of Dryads, I was supposed to ask what they were doing but I already got my answer.
"Hey" it's Troilus.
Not only Dryads but many other Nymphs has crush on him, don't get me wrong, having a crush doesn't mean you already falling in love from that certain creature. Crush is crush if you're a huntress.
Troilus came closer to me, not to mention that Troilus likes me for a long time, even before I became a huntress companion of goddess Artemis.
"It's you" I simply replied while avoiding his gaze.
"I missed you" he said and he was supposed to cares my hair but I also avoid it.
"Goddess Artemis will kill me if you still do this" saying this while looking directly to his yellowish eyes.
"For the nth time Xanthe, how many times I'll say this to you that I'm a son of Apollo, the twin brother of your goddess Artemis" he said annoyingly "I and my father could talk to goddess Artemis and ask if she can give you to us, for sure she will let you considering I'm her favorite nephew--"
"Just please go, Troilus." I cut him off.
"Please Xanthe, try to love me" here he goes again.
"We're already causing an attention Troilus, please stop now" I already ran after I said that to him.
I hate attention.
Troilus doesn't know the word "no", I have so many times rejected him but he keeps coming back and pestering me.
I already mentioned that I have no longer interest in any romantic relationship anymore and my loyalty is still with goddess Artemis, no one could ever change that.
I'm ready to give my life protecting the whole forest and goddess Artemis as well.
While I'm seating under the tree that away from group of Nymphs and Troilus, I heard a scream.
I'm beyond surprised when I peek who was that, the mortal man from earlier.
He looks like in pain while holding his foot, when I decided to just walk away from him he suddenly yelled "Hey silver hair! Can you please help me!?" is he pertaining to me?
Silver hair?
I looked back and saw his foot that has snake bite so I quickly run and help him.
I checked the bite of snake and it's not that dangerous but since I'm already here I decided to cure it.
I jump on to the nearest branch of tree and pick some leaves then jump off beside the mortal.
"How could you do that?" he asked while I'm already curing him "a-and how did you ran that fast earlier? Even my eyes didn't catch you" he added.
I was ignoring him and continue from what I'm doing to him but he suddenly yelled.
"It's freaking hurt!" he complained.
"Endure it human." I just said.
"Call me to my name, I'm Sevance." he introduced himself, I just ignored him for the second time.
When I finished curing him, I came closer to his face and tried to hypnotize him to forget all what he was witnessed since earlier.
"What are you doing? Hey!" he complained again.
When I already hypnotized him, I was supposed to go back but he called me again. "What were you trying to do, silver hair? You still didn't answer my question!"
And from that, I'm stiff from where I stood.
I felt his presence nears to me so I looked back to him but he already standing right in front of me!
"D-do you still remember what happened since earlier?" I innocent asked.
"How could I forget those stunts you did? You ran so fast, you jump off the tree like it was so easy, you have a wonderful hair--"
"Seriously, who are you?" I asked again.
"I already answered that!" he said while wearing his smile "you.. who are you?" he asked back.
"You're a mortal, right?" I'm still so shocked that all my abilities aren't working when it comes to him.
All Nymphs' abilities aren't just working to another immortal, so I'm pretty sure that this man in front of me is not a mortal one.
"O-of course, what do you mean, silver hair?"
"No, you are not." I said while looking at him intently.
I don't know if he's just pretending that he is a mortal or he just really don't know his realm yet.
"So what's your name, silver hair?" he said changing the topic.
"Stop calling me like that" I said annoyingly.
"What's your name then?" he smiles.
"Xanthe." I answered him without looking at him.
"How could a woman already have a wonderful hair, good figure, pretty face and even her name is so beautiful and unique?" he said in disbelief.
"I'm sure you're not a mortal." I confront him.
"What?" he look so innocent.
I don't know how to explain it in simplest way.
