The whistle blows as Kurai floats the ball in front of the net. Zander diving to bring the ball up. The team's Libero jumped behind the 3-meter line and set the ball to Devin. Devin spiking the ball past the block. Nathan easily brings it up with a smirk proving his worth. Kurai running forward and jumping into the air to spike.
"Over there!" Matthew jumps in front of the net to block Kurai, seemingly a massive iron wall. Kurai smirks and shits his weight to almost set to the right. Matthew lands and instantly jumps to the right where Lucas waits for the set. Kurai smirking and instead setting behind him to the left. Matthew grits his teeth and rushing over, almost making it as Kaneko lands a powerful spike on the court. Landing with an echo.
"Hit me with your best shot… Best middle blocker in the High School age group." Kurai smirks as Matthew grits his teeth.
"That's two consecutive blocks from Dougal Wilson, the points stand at 17-19!! We're getting close to the final Rallies of this game!"
Kaneko takes a deep breath and tosses the ball high. Running forward and slamming it over the net. The Libero brings it up as Devin quickly sets it to Matthew. Dougal jumped up to block, slamming the ball onto the court. Dougal exhales and glares across the net as Coach Russ watches.
"Dougal's entered a state of flow… He's mastered guess blocking" Chloe is confused and looks over.
"How can you tell?" Russ crosses his arms.
"He was already running to the left side of the court before the ball was even set… This year's freshmen are insane" Chloe and Erik are in disbelief.
"Moving before the set? That's an insane instinct he's got" Russ shakes his head.
"That's not instinct… that's a guess" Erik gulps remembering Dougal at the freshman VS Senior match.
"With that third consecutive block from Dougal, LakeWood Technical is the first team to reach 20 points…"
"Yup, at this point he's more of an immovable fortress that shows up out of nowhere and the attackers are left confused… How did he get here so fast?"

Kurai smirks as Lucas tosses the ball again. 'Is it something related to the game? It might be our game momentum; a combination of exciting plays is pushing me to also do my best…' Lucas jumps up and slams the ball onto the court again.
"Every server in LakeWood Technical's arsenal is a monster! Team Captain Lucas' jump serve topping out at 120 Kilometers per hour! Or 74.5 miles an hour!"
Coach Russ stands up in disbelief. Remembering back to a younger Lucas who struggled with anything but overhand serves. His receives and sets were bad, and his blocking was worse. But ever since Cameron lost his battle to cancer, Lucas' talent exploded into a beautiful flower that dominates the court of fellow monsters. Coach Russ laughed.
"What else are you hiding from us, you hidden prodigy, Lucas Baker, who's still improving in his Senior year?"
