Elios flinched as he felt a sharp pain in the back of his neck, causing his mind to blank for a moment. *Smack* Elios's hand smacked the back of his neck, feeling around for the cause of his pain. Suddenly, a raspy voice whispered to him.
'Do you want power?'
Elios looked around, trying to find the source of the voice. He saw Jun talking to Nina and Liam, Olivia talking to an older grandma, and Ren butchering the snake with a small group. Confused as to where the voice came from, Elios decided that he was too on edge.
'That guy by the snake, do you hate him?'
Elios stood up in shock, scanning around with a hint of fear in his eyes. However, Elios's attention was soon diverted towards the pain in his neck, which was growing more intense by the second.
Holding his neck in pain, Elios escaped inside the gas station.
"Huff... Huff..."
The pain was getting worse, Elios felt his consciousness slipping as he groaned in pain. He looked around for anything to steady himself. *Crash!* Elios tried to hold onto a shelf, only to blow it away with a light touch. Elios looked at the wreckage in shock, wondering how the steel isle crumpled with a touch.
'This is only the beginning.'
Elios couldn't hold on anymore, he crumpled to the ground in pain, losing his consciousness. As Elios closed his eyes, the last scene he saw was the happy camp outside, no one noticed he was gone.
"Hnnng..."
Elios woke up in a pure white space, the unbearable pain was gone. Getting up, Elios looked around, wondering where he was.
"Awake?"
Elios turned around to face a man dressed in a suit. The man had slicked back silver hair, dark red eyes, a tall and slender frame, and perfectly tanned skin. Elios stared at this seemingly perfect being in suspicion, his mind was racing to figure out who he was.
"No need to be on guard, I am here to help you."
The man flashed a perfect smile at Elios, friendliness exuding from him. Elios felt alarms going off in his head as he looked at that smile, slowly backing off from the man. *Clack clack clack* However, the man followed Elios step for step, the smile plastered on his face like a mask.
"Don't be like that, let me introduce myself. I am *Leviathan*."
As Leviathan uttered his name, Elios saw a brief glimpse of his true form, causing him to freeze in terror. A creature of unimaginable size floated in the deep unknown, light was barely present in the surroundings. The creature was never satisfied, always latching onto what others had. he envied the shallow sea creatures, for they could see the sun, he envied the smaller creatures, for they could move more freely, he envied his opponents, for they could enjoy death.
Wandering around for millions of years, this creature continued to grow in size, cause countless worlds to collapse, for his jealousy had no limit. The leviathan would destroy all he envied, trying to get rid of his burning jealousy eating away at him. However, this feeling inside him burned more as time went on, causing the creature to change his methods.
"Huff... Huff..."
Elios's breathing became heavy as the creature in his vision stared right at him, causing Elios's entire body to feel like jelly. As Elios fainted from the fear, he woke back up at that white room with the human Leviathan smiling at him, acting like nothing happened.
"Now it's only proper to introduce yourself."
Elios wanted to run, but there was no where to go. Out of options, Elios tried to calm down and returned the smile.
"Nice to meet you sir Leviathan, my name is Elios"
The two smiled at each other silently, the tension in the air thickening as time went on. To break the silence, Leviathan snapped his fingers and a floating screen popped up, showing an image of Ren.
"Look at his face, he isn't anymore good looking than you, nor is he taller than you or smarter than you. So why does he get all the attention?"
Leviathan's smile distorted into a sinister frown as more pictures of Ren popped up around the space.
"Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? WHY? WHY? WHY!?!?!"
*Boom! Boom! Boom!* With every why from Leviathan, the images of Ren blew up one after the other. Elios watched this happen in front of him in horror, but a small part of him felt seen.
"Ahem. Pardon me."
Leviathan stood up straight once more, fixing his suit. With a snap, The images all disappeared with a small colourful explosion. Leviathan turned back to Elios and flashed his perfect smile once again, extending his hand out.
"It isn't fair, I sympathize with you. Which is why I'm offering you a deal."
From Leviathan's hand, a small red orb appeared, floating just above Leviathan's hand. Elios looked at the orb in curiosity, wonder what it was.
"You and I are alike, which is why I'm offering you this. Eat this Elios, eat it and become my vassal."
Elios hesitantly looked at the orb, unsure of what he should do. Noticing this, Leviathan snapped his finger once more, showing Elios the outside world. In the screen, Ren and Olivia were chatting and cooking together, laughing and joking around with each other.
"Look at this Elios, is it fair that Ren is being treated like this by Olivia? When they have only met a few weeks ago?"
Elios stared at the screen in resentment, glaring daggers at Ren.
"No Elios, it isn't fair, why is Ren special and you're not? Why does he get to play the hero and you the villain?"
With each word from Leviathan, Elios's hand subconsciously reached for the red orb. Leviathan looked at this in delight, before he delivered his final blow.
"You know why? It's because he has strength. But no more, I can offer you far more strength than him. You can rid yourself of this burning feeling inside you..."
Elios's eyes lit up, before grabbing the red orb, stuffing it into his mouth.
