April and Riya went to the renowned cafe in the city, Doug's cafe was so famous that you couldn't find a free table sometimes but today the girls were find a table. " so how was your vacation" April asked trying to start up a conversation ." ahh,it was so peaceful and relaxing, I had a great time" Riya said while drinking her milkshake. " let's quit talking about me, so how is your mom..I mean your grandma" Riya said trying to change the topic." she's fine" April simply replied, she could hear what was going through her friend's mind. Riya still found it hard to believe that Mrs Linda was her grandma because she looked too young and more like a woman in her mid forties but actually she was over four hundred years. Her grandma would be considered young in the demon world. " hello young ladies" a male voice caught their attention, "hi Jayden" Riya said and pulled out a seat for him. Jayden sat down and looked at April who gave him a slight smile, she didn't like him. He had asked her out on many occasions but she always refused him .Not that he wasn't attractive, he was very handsome and his parents were rich but she wasn't interested."I'll leave you two alone" Riya said and got up to leave. " no, we'll leave." April said and got up as well, "then I'll quickly use the restroom" Riya said and left. April had read her mind and she wanted Jayden and her to talk, she would teach her a good lesson once they left here."so how's college?" Jayden said trying to break the silence. " look Jayden, I know what you want to say and you know my answer so let's not waste our time here"April said and stood up to leave when Jayden grabbed her wrist and said " April what is it?, don't you get it that I want you", " but I don't" April told him while trying to slip her wrists from his hold. "Am I not good enough for you? girls are crushing on me and you're refusing me?" Jayden said letting out all his frustration. " well I'm not one of those girls and let go" April said trying to stop herself from setting him ablaze. Jayden looked at her wrist which was bruised now and loosed his hold on her but didn't leave her wrist, then he came closer to her April could read his mind and knew what he wanted to do and would have burnt him if not for the promise she made to her grandma. she quickly dragged her hand away from his and pushed him aside " don't cause a scene here, I could slap you" April said in a low yet firm voice. " you're quite strong for a lady" Jayden said but April didn't wait around to listen to his remarks she had already left. She found Riya waiting outside at the door and looked at her wrist that had already healed " so how did it go ?" Riya asked. "you!"April said and pulled her hair, Riya had golden long hair and chocolate brown eyes which made her very beautiful." okay, I'm sorry" Riya said while giggling after April let go of her hair. " don't you have to go to work today?" Riya asked April," I took the day off, Diana's helping me out with the office work" April replied Riya although she knew she would have a lot of paperwork tomorrow ." she's a good assistant" Riya said referring to Diana, " I know" April said remembering the times Diana filled in for her. "why don't I drop you off?" she asked Riya,"nah, I have to get some things at the grocery store"she told April then she gave her a hug and April drove off. There was slight traffic and April thought of Jayden, he was desperate and aggressive and that she didn't like. April finally got home but her grandma wasn't back yet so she went upstairs to freshen up when she found her spell book on her bed. she could have sworn she hadn't left it there "I thought you might want a lesson today"she heard her grandma say as she turned around to look at her. " I didn't know you were home" April said while sitting on her bed with her grandma. "l came early and decided to have a shower" Linda said. " so when do you want me to teach you more spells and you have to be attentive unlike last lesson" she said holding April's ear " I will right after my shower" April said and hurried off to the bathroom.
