The main bunker of La Resistencia was turned upside down when Kylen found out that his best soldiers had fled, he was upset because they broke the rules but inside, worry was eating him alive. He found a note in the laboratory attached to the glass of the capsule, it was a warning that they should not approach.
"Not until everything is ready," he read.
They had finished moving the survivors and the rest of the soldiers along with the girl but Kylen always returned to the same bunker hoping that Ocean and the others would return.
"I'm a useless commander," he said to himself, "I can't do anything to help them."
He hit the wall with his fists, drawing blood, knocked over chairs and tables, tore up papers and cloth until he finally calmed down.
"I'm going to kill the traveler, it's all his fault!" He exclaimed.
Several kilometers from there, the Community party had ended. After that moment of bliss all the workers returned to their occupations, Jolene would personally take care of emptying Evander completely, she collected some blood samples while he slept and went to test her experiments with some test subjects.
Reinforcement 090, Evander was not a creation of the Community of the Dawn, he was already there, as were the rest of the reinforcements. Jolene was the first to find them a little unconscious so she made them believe that she gave them life.
After several years of study, she discovered that the reason why Evander existed was to be used as a biological weapon due to the production of poison that his body could create, in addition, his power to control the wind would help him to spread the poisonous cells more quickly. as if it were a virus in the air but it had a defect, by producing so much in his body, his lungs weakened, that's why he needed a different oxygen.
Due to this, Jolene was devising a way to end humanity, infect people not belonging to the Community and destroy everything related to the reinforcements, however, she still didn't know about an enemy that lived in the shadows but that surely it would cause her big problems, even with that she was willing to summon it.
With the test tubes ready, she picked up a trigger and released the poison into the containment chamber where Barret was, hoping to kill him once and for all.
Smiling with an air of victory, she noticed that it had no effect on him since it had modified his body, from flesh and blood it became solid field land, in this way it would take longer for him to get sick or so she thought, however, nothing changed.
"Damn it!" She complained silently.
Something wasn't working, with Evander's poison any reinforcement would be easy to eradicate but nothing was happening about it and among her fears, she feared that Evander had discovered a new power, one that would allow him to remove the harmfulness of the poison. Annoyed, she left the place and went to do more tests and draw more blood.
"A drop should be enough, something is not going well."
Just outside the sniper perimeter stood Ocean and the group ready to put their plan into action.
"I have a better plan," Zev said before Ocean did, "how about we communicate with Kylen, have them all come invade the place and when we finish them we cross over to eternal life…"
Ocean coughed from how surprised she was.
"What are you saying? Eternal life…"
"Have you been there, Ocean?" He asked. "Do you know eternal life?"
"Well, that's not exactly Eden," she looked away, "your plan is risky, it's better to rescue them first, then we'll think about what to do."
Zev didn't say anything and dedicated himself to following instructions, Ocean had thought that the three of them would remain in the sniper area to serve as a distraction and capture a few since they were at the main entrance, then she would walk the path alone.
"You're not going alone!" Zev snapped.
"Why not? I can do it fast."
"Of course not, stop feeling superior to us, you're seeing us as a nuisance, right?" Zev's attitude changed a bit, apparently the roles were reversed and now he was the one who treated Ocean badly.
The black-haired woman approached him very impressively, their eyes met because she was almost his height, she didn't say anything but her look said it all and even so, Zev didn't flinch.
"Besides, why should I trust you?"
"I don't know where you got the character to talk to me like that," she held him by the collar, "you should trust me because I know your secret."
Ocean glanced sideways at Ronda and Luna who were only observing the situation, then returned to stare at him.
"It's just that I'm worried that you won't bring my brother back," he said in a more normal tone.
"My brother is there too," she said, referring to Barret, "I'm not selfish like you."
That last sentence echoed in him, the Ocean of his dimension told him something similar some time after their separation, so he lowered his guard and didn't think about anything else.
"If all goes well, I'll consider having one of you come to the base with me," she said, letting go of Zev.
They advanced in silence, determined to do their best to save their friends, Luna trying to create more than one clone to serve as a distraction with several francs while Ronda would hold others down using her hair. Zev would be in charge of placing explosives in different areas of the field to blow up some parts.
"Luna, can you detect their location inside the base?"
"Yes, they are separated in different rooms but one next to the other, Milo is in a more spacious place, in the upper part and I see something else below Evander."
"Well, I'll go for Evander first and not because he's my boyfriend, but because it would be dangerous if they decide to use it against us."
Ocean briefly told them why Evander was important to the community and why he was considered a bioweapon.
