Chapter 3 - Monster Domain 519

Leo carefully opened a box filled with dissecting objects, a collection he inherited from his father, who was a doctor.

Now living alone in his father's house, Leo couldn't help but feel nostalgic as he reminisced about the happy days of his youth that were now behind him.

His mind was set on a daring experiment. Leo extracted a syringe and carefully drew Volvo's blood, placing it in a small tube.

Taking a deep breath, he gulped down the blood in one swift motion.

A sudden rush of heat surged through his body, but before he could even comprehend the sensation, it vanished just as quickly.

"Hahahahaha!" Leo burst into laughter, feeling triumphant.

Though no immediate change was evident in his body, he knew that the Devouring Bloodline was at work. The lack of visible change was due to Volvo's bloodline being too weak to make a significant difference.

"I must obtain the blood of a truly formidable monster," Leo said with determination.

"But first, I need to acquire the Awakeners License. Only then can I enter the Monster Domain."

With purpose in his stride, Leo headed straight for City 3's Awakeners Centre. Having been there multiple times before, he navigated the familiar surroundings effortlessly.

The Awakening Test was not too challenging; one simply had to prove their awakening ability and pass a written test while submitting necessary documents.

"Congratulations on becoming an Awakener, sir. As an Awakener, you can now sell monster bodies and cores in the Awakening Centre and enjoy exclusive benefits," said a girl at the center in a neutral tone, handing Leo his Awakeners License.

Grasping the card, Leo felt an indescribable amount of joy as he reflected on his journey. Lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice the girl, who was now attending to other customers.

Quietly leaving the Awakeners Centre, Leo made his way to a Monster Domain near the city. Normally, it would take him half an hour to walk there, but this time, it only took fifteen minutes – a testament to his newfound power after Awakening.

Leo felt immense satisfaction with his progress.

As he approached the Monster Domain, a prominent sign caught his eye, reading

"Monster Domain 519."

Monster Domain were represented by numbers, except for four and the lower the number, the weaker the monsters present. Monster Domain 519 was typically used to train new Awakeners.

Leo paid the guard, entered the Monster Domain 519 , which is also connected to The Abysall Forest.

The excitement and anticipation of what lay ahead fueled his determination to acquire the blood of a formidable monster, kickstarting his thrilling adventure.

.

.

Leo brandished his dagger, stepping closer to the dark and gloomy forest.

As he ventured in, he couldn't ignore the traces of dried blood staining the tree trunks, piquing his curiosity.

A smile crept across his face; he knew that this was his treasure ground.

Once inside, blurry fences enclosed the area, and an inexplicable mist engulfed the forest, making it difficult for Leo to see clearly.

His heart raced as a strange sound echoed around him, causing him to tighten his grip on the dagger.

Suddenly, a dog-like creature with three menacing horns on its head charged towards him, startling Leo. "This thing is fast," he muttered, taking a defensive stance.

Leo swung his dagger wildly, successfully hitting the creature's leg. Seizing the opportunity, he quickly switched to an offensive stance and delivered a fatal blow to its neck.

The creature's lifeless body collapsed, and blood gushed out, but Leo remained unphased, the world he now lived in had changed him, making killing a norm.

With a newfound discovery, he decided to taste the creature's blood.

As he drank it, he felt a surge of heat and slight pain that quickly subsided, leaving him invigorated.

Leo grinned, realizing that he had stumbled upon something extraordinary, and began testing his enhanced abilities through physical exercises.

Soon, he noticed subtle improvements in his speed.

Excitement and satisfaction overwhelmed him, and he couldn't help but envision a future where he ruled this transformed world.

Leo continued his experiments, drinking the blood of different creatures and gaining exceptional powers.

However, just as he was celebrating his newfound abilities, he encountered Perek, a fearsome monster with traits of a horse, dog, and wolf, a creature that typically is in the H+ Realm.

Leo's heart pounded in his chest as he prepared to face this formidable foe, realizing that his journey had just taken an unexpected turn.

.

.

As the beast lunged forward, Leo sprang into action, dodging its ferocious attack with deft agility. He wielded his dagger, striking at the creature's flank, but the thick hide seemed impenetrable. The monster retaliated with sharp claws and powerful hooves, forcing Leo to retreat.

Realizing that brute force alone would not be enough to defeat the creature, Leo decided to use his intelligence and cunning.

He jumped from tree to tree and inflicting slight damage when Perek whould try to climb.

After enough wounds were dealt he jumped down and started the true battle was fierce.

"aghhk. This thing, why is it so strong."

Leo roared as he blocked the Perek attack.

That was when Leo noticed the abnormal things in the forst.

'Tsk. No wonder these were so much less monster then the said article, this thing had probably killed it all, in its jow of reaching E- Realm.'

Leo though frustatingly as he douged and attacked.

Perek fury knew no bounds as it continuously attacked ignoring its wound.

'Damn. That's why I hate these monster with abnormal healing capacity. This guy will probably not loose stamina for a while, while I do.'

'I have to end this quickly.'

With renewed determination, Leo charged at the creature. The two adversaries clashed fiercely. Each swing of Leo's dagger was met with equal ferocity from the monster's claws and fangs.

In a climactic moment, Leo managed to find a weakness in the creature's defenses. With a swift and precise strike, he pierced its heart. Peker let out one last, mournful howl before collapsing to the ground, defeated.

Leo stood, bloodied and exhausted.

But he didn't rest as he quickly collected the blood gushing out from Peker and kept in his pocked , after which he started disecting the usefull part of the monster and keeping its Core in a seperate bag.
