Chapter 2 - ceremony

As all the guest were busy getting acquainted and mothers where looking for suitable suitors for their daughters, Zainab walked inside the hall and some people looked at her like an eyesore. She decided to enjoy the ceremony regardless but she didn't know a pair of eyes were watching her. 'I didn't know you attend such gandering Mr Ismail' Mr Ismail turned his eyes away from Zainab and looked at the prince of shua who was his friend and replied " I decided to start honouring such invitations as I too will get married someday" his eyes went back to Zainab. " you seem to have an interest in the eldest princess ' but Ismail only smirked. Zainab was in a happy mood because for the first time a man had smiled at her and showed a little interest making her hope rise that she can actually get married before she turns 22.

The king was glad giving out his daughter to the powerful kingdom because of alliance and was planning to do the same thing to all his daughters but he couldn't understand why usually reject Zainab because to him, she was as beautiful as the rest of her sisters. what the king and first queen didn't know was that they had enemies within the household who didn't want the progress of the first queen and her daughter.

As Ismail left the spot he was standing, women and ladies looked at him in awe because of how devily handsome he looked even though he was dressed in casual attire not showing royalty or a person of importance, his charisma was overwhelming and he looked dangerous and carried the air of authority. The whole thing to him was boring and he decided to leave. Zainab who noticed her Vail wasn't covering her hair properly, decided to adjust it not knowing someone was walking right behind her and her raised hand collided with the man's face and she quickly turned to apologize but before she could even do so, he waved at it indicating it was nothing and he left. some of the ladies seeing what happened, began to accuse her of doing it on purpose to get the man's attention. others laughed at her because the man didn't even look at her like a human being while other ladies were curious to know who he was because it was their first time seeing him. Zainab didn't let it get to her as she was already used to people saying such things about her.

It was time for the husband and wife to have their last ritual and after that, the groom was to take his wife home. The bride's mother brought out her things which were neatly arranged in a bag and placed it in the carriage accompanied by her personal maid. The people said their farewell to the newly wed as they departed to their kingdom and some guest started leaving while others planed to stay for a couple of days before heading back to their respective homes. Zainab eyes was filled with unshed tears as her sister who was her only friend had left her to another kingdom and she wondered how things will be for her. she didn't want to disturb her mother who was entertaining some guest so she looked around, her eyes searching for her new found hope but he was no where in sight.
