"That smile of yours is the cause of your problems in this company. Care to tell me what so amuses you?" Stuart's smile froze on his face after hearing this. No one has had a problem with his smile so far, so what was this man's problem.
"Sorry, Mr. Sterling, but I don't understand what you mean," Stuart said subconsciously, smiling again. Who could blame him; smiling had become a habit.
He could see the corner of the older man's lips twitch in slight irritation, and for some reason, he felt like the man was going to throw something at him any moment from now.
Mr. Sterling looked like he had a lot to say, but after a strong battle with himself, he kept quiet. "Do you know why this meeting was held today?" he asked, his gaze even more intense than before, "you did nothing wrong yet your termination was brought up by the executives. Do you know why?"
