Hunter and Talia arrive in a small village, the night is almost over, Hunter asks several questions on what happened in the past years, the wind suddenly stops.
"So in what land are we in, Liberta, Highland or the Forbidden Lands." The woman stops.
She looks in the air, rattling metal noise and a roar of a metal dragon is heard.
"We are in none of them, welcome to the Wastelands." She pulls him in cover in a stable, she pushes him on the ground and she sits over him, "don't move or make a sound." She whispers. Talia places her hand over his mouth, Hunter does the same and pulls her closer.
She blushes, the first time she felt a man's hand over her face, she looks back at her life, how she ran from it. The dragon noise moves away, after they feel safe, they both take their hand away. "You're close to my face." Said Hunter, unmoved by any of this. She looks flabbergasted, he couldn't see her face, but he knew that made her mad.
"So I went up into the Wildlands… How far?" She realized that he really was blind, he didn't know where he wandered, "How did he live this long on his own? How long has he spent on the road, why did he run?" She questioned in her head. "You're still close to my face, I am a 45 widowed man if you didn't know." He laughed. She gets up and pulls him up with her.
"That wasn't what–" He sighs. "I know what it is, your breath and body heat told me. Let's find a place to sleep." They get out of the hideout, and slowly walk down in the village. Pirates on the streets try to plunder this village of former criminals. "Give us what you have of most value." Hunter looks in that direction. "I'll calm those bastards down… Stay here."
Hunter slowly walked up to them and asked. "Gods be ashamed of creating this type of disappointment." One of the pirates looked at him. "You're next to pay, just wait." Hunter walks up to them and hits the one that talked with the stick. "How many pirates are here?" She scratched his beard, looking forward, into nothing. "With the one you put on the ground 5" Screamed Talia. She wondered if he could take those brutes on his own.
A pirate comes with a plasma sword, trying to slash Hunter. Hunter laughs as the man approaches, he moves himself to the left and makes the man trip by placing his foot in front of him at the last moment. Before the pirate tries to get up he steps on the pirate's neck and snaps it. "One question pirates, did you come with the dragon?"
The first pirate hunter put to the ground gets up. "He is blind, let's jump him." Hunter smiles thinking to himself: "Bad move."
As one lounges at him, he hits one of them in the head with the stick, the other 3 try to cut his throat, Hunter drops himself on his back. When he feels close to the road, he places his empty hand underneath him, that hand sustains his weight. He kicks one of the pirates in the knee. The pirate falls down, Hunter kicks him again in the head making the pirate unconscious. The pirates looked bewitched at what they've seen. They both try to stab him.
Luck wasn't on their side as Hunter kicks one of them in the genitals, rolls on the ground and swiftly gets up. "I'm gonna let you go if you tell me one thing… Who is your boss?"
The still conscious pirates look at him in fear, dropping their weapons and getting on their knees. "We are crew members of Death Gatling, we are pirates, yes. Our boss doesn't go by a name directly, but she goes by Robin."
Hunter cleans himself of dust as much as he can. "Tell this Robing girl that Hunter Bloodhearth wants to talk." As the name of Bloodhearth is heard by every bystander everyone widens their eyes. He could hear people whisper. "Why Bloodhearths are here"
"I heard this one ran away, he might've been a criminal too." "I heard he killed the former king of Highland." Rumors spread like wildfire, Hunter looking down, ashamed.
"Shut your traps!" Talia shouted, her voice sounds like the dragon from before, angry. "This dude saved your asses, being blind and you with all your limbs intact do nothing about it. Former criminals my ass." She grabs Hunter by his hand and looks at the pirates. "Robin should meet us outside the village, lord Bloodhearth will be kind to her."
