6 children are playing in a huge garden, filled with flowers, trees and ponds filled with fish. Young Theodore and the Goldhaven children. They were playing chess, Theodore first started a match with Kilian, he was the same age as him. "This shall be fair, right Goldheaven" Kilian nods, "it' will, Bloodhearth."
"Shall we make a bet, too?" Asked Theodore to have something planned if Kilian accepts. "Yes, what's on the table?" Theodore grins at Fiora. "I would kiss your sister, Fiora if you lose!" Fiora grins back, she blushes but everyone sees that she agrees.
"I agree with this, but what do you offer?"
Theodore pulls out of his chest pocket the Goddess of Victory's sigil and 100 crown (about 500 dollars). "So what does this sigil do? I've seen it helped you a lot in the past games, why place it on a bet?" Theodore gives a shy smile. "Because I can win without it." And so they began, Theodore chose the black pieces.
Tension is seen in both of the children. First move g2 pawn to g4, second move by Theodore, d2 pawn to d5, f1 bishop to g2. And the strategy began, in Theodore's mind playing songs for his grandfather's vinyl records, he remembers how much his grandfather teached him the basics of chess, the same song start playing.
Theodore didn't let any wrong move slide. Theodore, looking at his adversary, Kilian already lost a knight, a bishop and 2 pons. Kilian looks at Theodore with intrigue. "You can forfeit any time Kilian." Kilian shakes his head. "It's my sister we talk about."
Theodore leans onto the table and counts with his right hand using his fingers, he calculates what move he will do next. He has just 70 seconds on the clock.
Bishop takes queen from g4 to d1, king takes bishop, queen moves to g5. "You can still forfeit." Said Theodore. Kilian looks mad, he moves king e2, Theodore moves queen g2. The smile on Theodore's face continues to stand.
Theodore uses the queen as its main attack piece, he looks at his adversary, Kilian is already done with the game. The time is against Theodore so he moves the queen back to g4, his enemy pushes with a pawn to protect the king. The move doesn't make Theodore's brain stutter and he moves to c4, Kilian moves his pawn to d3 to attack the queen again.
"Not a smart move." Said Fiora, already preparing to kiss Theodore. "Shut it!" Theodore moves queen to c2, Killian moves to f1. Theodore had less than 20 seconds on the clock. He moves knight to d3, Kilian gives up and moves pawn to e4.
Theodore smiles, he moves queen f2. "Checkmate" Theodore's clock is left with only 10 seconds on it. "Also I had less time than you so you had a bigger advantage of time than me, so I guess this was a fair game."
Theodore gets up and goes to Fiora. He kisses her cheek. "I am not someone who will abuse his win to kiss your lips." Theodore smiled. Fiora, unsatisfied, kissed him
